New Coach 2024 - Suggestions

Every name that’s been mentioned here not Thompson but Basset for some reason. 
They haven’t mentioned Barlow likes been mentioned here either

Barlow was interveiwed onn SEN this morning and they asked him whether he will be coaching Werribee next year and he said he was undecided

Hmmm now hearing that the club have asked Bassett to apply. Mark Stone also in mix apparently

Also listened to SEN this morning and heard the interview with Michael Barlow. He didn't give away anything but said he was still happy to coach in the state system, whether he meant VFL/SANFL/WAFL. It seemed to me he still had unfinished business, whether it was at state level in the VFL/SANFL or WAFL has still to be discovered.

Surely some of the Eagles senior players would have been asked about their thoughts on several of the candidates. Only one player has mentioned anything that I have heard and that was Schofield. Why would Schofield want to come back to SA as he recently went back to WA.

He's probably waiitng to see if he's got the eagles job or not

Forget Younie and Wright, have heard there could be another ex North Adelaide champ in the mix.

Barrie would be a bit old you would think, didn't have a great coaching record.

With reports of unrest with the coach at North it could be a strategy to steal some of their players....but if its Andrew Jarman don't think it will work

I reckon the club will let the euphoria of the AFL Grand Final die down then announce it, possibly sometime next week

Maybe they offered candidate they offered it to was weighing up a few things and then knocked it back?

Have no idea for the reason but Bassett was only let go on Monday so all i can assume is that they really like him. Just a gut feeling that Thompson was going to be announced as he is based locally and a bit easier than stone/skipworth/barlow/schofield. But just guessing

Will be disappointed if that’s the case. Played a boring brand at Norwood and will appointed on reputation alone in my opinion if he gets the job.

None of that is correct. Never boring. He also won premierships at Norwood when they were rebuilding. Defensive structure was great.
Some good results at PA as an assistant.
