Re: Season 2024 trial games
Jacobs called it a match sim and not an official trial so doubt it would be covered

Re: Season 2024 trial games
Does anyone know if they are going to show the 18's and 16's and reserves on the app. The only description of what was offered was all league games live and replayed and all womens matches. Seems like a pointless product if its being offered for free on the AFL website.

Must have been a 3 term match.
FT in our final SANFL pre-season hit/l-out.
Crows defeat Woodville West-Torrens by nine points
AFC: 7.10 (52)
WWTFC: 6.7 (43)

Yeah true. Maybe something to do with the afl on tonight. The afc based players may have to attend it without knowing for sure.Goddsy11 wrote:Must have been a 3 term match.

Re: Season 2024 trial games
Unfortunately I could only go for 2 of the 3 periods played.
The Crows had two periods with a strong wind to the Eagles one, this was a huge advantage to the Crows. The general consensus was that the Eagle lost by about 2 goals, no scoreboard at oval.
The Crows had quite a few name players in their team, Scholl, Hamill, Himmelberg, Borlase etc so they were taking it quite seriously.
The biggest surprise was the form of Barkla, he played a consistently good game, far better than his previous trials. Beecken was excellent with his dash from half back. Both D'Aloia and Buck were good again and Fleeton is showing more with each outing. Luke McKay is coming along nicely and as he becomes accustomed to the pace, he will be a handy addition.
Both Kade Herbert and Charlie West played after not being named in the original squad.
The most impressive part of the match was our high quality team game with great tackling intensity and hitting targets regularly. It was an encouraging performance.
I think it was a great move by Sauce to rest senior players and give exposure to some of the lesser lights last night.
Hawke and Premiers might have more to say on last nights game as they were both there.

The league squad originally named on the club web site DID NOT have Herbert or West named.
I have a copy in front of me. Check it out.

I think u need to seriously calm down and it's a forum not a site. Everyone makes mistakes and I'm correcting your mistake so be thankful for once.

Ok 35 Eagles it’s ok you can calm down Wimpy is a great contributor and he missed something no big deal and he did mention it . So not worth getting upset let’s leave that for round 1 and cheer out our frustrations .
Wimpy thank you great report I enjoy reading your reports i like sauce resting senior players interesting the AFL rejects could only beat our side by 2 goals let’s imagine how much we would’ve won if we played senior players.
To me this is a sign Sauce isn’t doing what Gods did back in the day better to keep the other teams guessing not show your cards early hope it makes sense .
