Charlie West has to be definitely looked at, especially as Weckert appears to be inconsistent in his form and no Jack Boyd.
Although young and inexperienced he would take at least three marks within goalkicking range. Has a great pair of hands.

Josh Mawson, although lacking fitness due to his hip flexor injury showed a few class signs in the reserves on Saturday.
Firns and Ryan Bruce should also be under consideration.
I know many supporters don't rate Bruce but his first eight games last year were very good. He hits the pack hard and smashes his spoils.
His biggest problem is his wayward kicking.
Always thought Josh Mawson could end up playing wing, we have big problems there at the moment with both wingmen being in poor form.
Can't really see anyone else being considered.

Charlie still goes to college so anyone know how many games he's available this upcoming season for us.

Thanks for your comments wimpy. I too like Josh Mawson.
Pearce, Weckert, Williams don’t appear to be showing the required form. Williams has been given many chances and he always falls short. Sorry Dawkins got injured as I wanted to see if he was going to take the next step. Also had hopes for Jay Watson if he had worked on his kicking in the off season. Sam Nicholls seems to be growing from promising to worth his League place.
Swannie McFarlane is a bit of an enigma at this stage. I hope he gets his chance as I like what he’s done elsewhere.
What’s the future for Barkla, Norman, Mair, Fairall, Norman, Watson, Neumann, Hansen?

Just saw this. Player reported but no free kick at the time.

Central’s George Kendall has been handed a reprimand for tripping Eagles’ Will Pearce at X Convenience Oval on Saturday.

George Kendall (Central) – Tripping

Conduct: Careless

Are they League material or too early to tell?

Will Pearce seemed to get up OK after the Trip but went off the ground very soon after and did not return again. He seemed to be moving OK but I wonder if there's some sort of injury out of it? Or perhaps he was only ever going to play a half. The Umpire didn't even pay for a free kick against Kendell. Also in the last Quarter of the Reserves game, a Centrals player tackled with his knees into a pack sending Liam Ueding off the ground with a broken snoz.

I thought Pudney played his best game for the Eagles on Saturday, his delivery to the yellow guernseys was fantastic .....

Found out that Will Pearce injured a finger and that was the reason he didn't come back on.

The Central player that got Liam Ueding should get 6-8 games it was disgraceful, he made no attempt at all to go for the ball.

Thanks Wimpey, Pearce looked OK and he's got 9 other fingers he can use.
Would like to see vision of the Ueding incident as well, looked bad from where I was standing

Up until the point he got suspended last year Bruce was really starting to show something.

Following his return some weeks later his form was horrible and the amount of unforced errors he was producing was unacceptable.

He lacks skills but his efforts can't be questioned. Probably not tall enough to hold down a key position spot down back so the conundrum is where is he best suited?

I do wonder how good the cameras are going to be at Football Park providing the trial is streamed on Friday. So hopefully for my sake it's streamed and others in this forum too if they can't attend it.

Can we kidnap him while he is here? Has anyone got a secure cellar, just for a little while.

He has a broken finger, a decision has to be made whether he has an operation or tapes it.

Quite a few injured players slated to come back for round two.

Looks like Brinker-Ritchie could be out for some considerable time.

Sladojevic has had a back operation, looks like it's season ending.

Yes but as you would've seen in Monday's email they're going to rest a lot of league players
