Probably the shortened quarters was because of the heat?? And yes players would've been happy to head home a bit earlier I'm guessing especially for the long weekend unless they train on Monday.

Did they use big fans with water coming out of them like I've just seen Glenelg did on the photographer's page on social media.

I'm surprised that it's not on eagles fb. Yes the league team is on the SANFL fb and website but not the other grade. First trial team both grades were on eagles fb but why not tonight??

What’s up with Connor Ballenden?
Beattie and Menzel understood to be injured.
Dawkins not mentioned. Injured?
Barkla in the Reserves again is puzzling.
Good to see Pearce and Mawson included.

If anyone missed the SANFL post on social media this afternoon the league trial games are on SANFL Now app this weekend and it's up on the app as i checked this afternoon. So I'll write the league players numbers on a piece of paper incase it's not commentary especially the new ones before it comes on the app.

Any comments about Nathan Barkla? Is he a starter in the league team for Round 1?

Sprained ankle 5-6 weeks.

Barkla doesn't appear to be in Jacob's best 25.

2:6 to 1:0 atm. We have looked fairly fluent that first 1/4. Elizabeth oval looks lovely on the app. Hard to tell the players though. Better than nothing I suppose.
