Re: WHAT DOES 2021 HOLD FOR THE EAGLES?
We will still be around the mark even after the draft. I have no figures to back me up but I would say over
the period since the amalgamation we have provided more players to the AFL than most clubs here and
possibly those around the country. We still play finals regularly and Sheedy and co seem to have a good
eye for talent. Given that our Reserves won the flag and diligent recruiting, if the talent can gel quickly
we should be a contender yet again

Are we entitle to a marquee player like PA. If so I wonder who it can be Knight?

Re: WHAT DOES 2021 HOLD FOR THE EAGLES?
Gazz, you mentioned (above) about our strong future with the Seconds Premiership but there were a few mature players in that team that played well and won't get any better. The Club perhaps saw this and went and recruited heavily outside the club compared to the previous year. Some of those players have to be moved on to make way for emerging youth from the U18s. Better to have a Seconds team that finishes 4th with 6-7 young players of real potential.

I think the Christmas Show was for Staff and Board Members only.
Therefore FISH wouldn't have attended but I'm told the Salmon for the main course was fantastic

Re: WHAT DOES 2021 HOLD FOR THE EAGLES?
Went and watched training tonight. Good attendance. Eight players from local clubs were invited out to train. Riley Knight as well as the Menzel brothers and Mutch brothers were at training. A young 18 y.o. indigenous boy from Alice Springs also trained. He ran fourth in the association medal. Spoke to his mentor and he said he plays like Jacob Wehr. No Petrenko at training.

I like the look of inviting local lads out. You need the locals to live the dream. I'm not sure if Mansell has been mentioned. Is he coming back. Do you know the lads name from Alice?

Didn't see Mansell.
Last year we also invited out locals.
Saw the name of the indigenous lad, it was quite long, can't remember it.

Cookie was at the preliminary final presentations in the club rooms. The Gaffney's might've left the club or so but they've been around the place watching eagles when they can including finals and their dad was at the after party

Re: WHAT DOES 2021 HOLD FOR THE EAGLES?
Good to hear the Gaffney boys may be giving it another try. Problem they have is that, being the same sort of player, they are competing against each other in addition to a plethora of HF/HB flankers. If Mansell doesn't sign it'll be a big loss - Cooper Gaffney and Jungfer might then compete for his back pocket position.
Tried to get IT info on the indigenous lad Mishae Wollergerang (mentioned above) from CAFL? Up comes the settlement of Wollergerang but no mention of any player by that name. Is the name correct? Was it 4th in the CAFL U18s Medal or 4th in the Seniors CAFL Medal (Minihan Medal). Could be a good signing if he can provide that indigenous "electric" speed.
Has Asalfa recovered from that season ending collision with the point post at Woodville Oval? Was showing some good form.
Anyone heard how Moller is progressing ? (Moller missed entire 2020 season from an ACL reconstruction.
