Good news all round re Redden, Daniel Menzel and Hardie/Sharman. How much was Redden able to do - overhead stuff? running top speed? ( I guess not into weightbearing Xs yet like pushups)?

Did not overly exert himself but kicked, hand balled, marked and jogged.

Dane McFarlane played OK but the standard of the opposition was pathetic with McFarlane's team Wanderers winning by 190pts against Tiwi Bombers. Commentator described McFarlane as "The Running Machine" several times. Two of McFarlane's team-mates from Werribee also playing for Wanderers. Wouldn't mind Dane getting his team-mate Shaun Mannagh to shift to the WWT Eagles with him

Received my financial report today. Over $172k loss is big but congrats to the club minimising it. Throw in a league and reserves premiership. Lets hope next year is better.

"goddy 11" I don't know if you read the financials correctly.

Very simply:

Football Dept. - Loss           $ 172,740
Eagles Club etc. -  Profit      $ 486,342
Overall Profit                      $ 313,602

Seems pretty good to me seeing we had to operate under extreme restrictions.
Just wondering how much related to our two Premierships?

As usual Wimpy you appear correct. Paying no salary and players receiving Jobkeeper helped.
That's a massive profit at the Eagles club especially when places were closed for awhile.
They are doing something ok there. Maybe we are employing all our recruits there. Smile

Wonder if some of the profit was from the premiership merchandise they would've made a fair bit at the after party merchandise wise and selling merchandise online

Cooper Sharman has landed, was at training tonight.
Spoke to Jarrad Redden, op. 4-6 months recovery, will miss start of season.
He said it was coming along well. On a restricted program, but can still kick, mark and handball.

Eagles supporters might like reminding that NTFL is televised on NITV at 11.05pm tonight (Tues) with the chance of seeing the 2 Eagles players playing - James Tsitas (Southern Districts) and Dane McFarlane (Wanderers). But no advertising of which match is being shown tonight so maybe record, watch tomorrow and discard if wrong match.

All NTFL games are available for viewing on YouTube. They are not live, but usually all uploaded by Tuesday. This Saturday, Glenelg will be playing a representative team from the NTFL [in Darwin]. Our two boys [Tsitas & Macca] are in the NTFL squad.

Young Garawa man, Mishai Wollogorang is heading to Oval Avenue
Mishai is a proud young Garawa man from Robinson River, NT, a remote Indigenous community consisting of 285 residents and a working cattle station.

Mishai was identified during the recent WWTFC Community visit to Yirara College in Alice Springs where he had recently been boarding at the college and undertaking year thirteen and a carpentry traineeship.

David Couzner, WWTFC Football Director said “After meeting with Mishai and his senior house parent at Yirra College, Jed De Laine, it was evident to Luke & Jade that Mishai was extremely committed to playing football at the highest standard, but more importantly, he is committed to gaining an apprenticeship and becoming a positive role model for the youth within Robinson River. As a community club, we are in a great position to be able to facilitate the relocation to Adelaide and the employment opportunity for Mishai, to assist him in achieving his goals. He has a hard journey ahead of him; however, he has a strong WWTFC support base structure around him, that will assist with the transition”.

After completing a week of work experience with WWTFC club major sponsor Maughan Thiem, the Club is extremely pleased to advise, Mishai will commence an automotive apprenticeship with Maughan Thiem next week. Maughan Thiem CEO, Daniel Thomas said, “The Maughan Thiem Group has always enjoyed a close partnership and relationship with the WWTFC. When presented with Mishai and the opportunity to provide a week’s work experience we jumped at the opportunity. Mishai is a fantastic young man who is driven to learn and succeed. We are looking forward to assisting Mishai with his employment journey and welcoming him into the Maughan Thiem family”.

Wow, that is an outstanding result. How did they manage that in 2020?

The selling of merchandise at the after party, people would've went into the club to purchase stuff and the online sales would've done it unless im wrong, probably the only thing in merchandise that hasn't been shippe to the club is the scarfs which will be in next month sometime
