That is an issue but we got Redden back he leaves after one year
We brought O'Brien in he leaves after one year and had a fair few weeks off got second in the medal and went home .
So what does the club do I haven't got a clue

Re: 2017 What do we need to take the next step
I just watched on Facebook sa sports show three weeks after we lost the GF .
1 yes we would take Stewart if he was drafted if he wants to come home .
2 we will promote juniors they did say players in the seconds are at an age ready to be in the league .
I still worry about our ruck stocks tallest we saw brought up was Cox surely he go in the draft .

I''ll eat my hat (gladly) if Matthew Pavlich plays for us. I reckon he is very settled in Perth so I think a furfie for sure.

Heard the same but wants a bucket of money. We wouldn't want to put all our eggs in 1 basket with him. We must have a bit of salary relief available with a lot of our top paid player leaving. Lets use it wisely. I would say lets recruit 3 top line players and promote the rest from within. One thing we don't need is dissent within our juniors because they don't have opportunities.

True good thoughts
We lost Press and Appleton and another seconds player who walked earlier in the year .
Stewart is one on the radar

MickeyJ. I think that's 14 of last years regulars. Still a good squad. It will be interesting to see who they are chasing. Its a strong core of players.

Re: 2017 What do we need to take the next step
You'd also think that Gaffney, Haylock and Commi are going nowhere... surely.
You could understand if Batley tried his luck somewhere else, but I'd love to see him go around again and really try and crack in.
And I wonder what Cameron Giles' situation is with his ongoing injury.
We'll see soon enough I guess.

I was hoping Batley would take over from the Flash

Interesting that the Eagles have listed Jack Hayes as a core player considering that he hasn't played a league game, indicating that big things are expected from Jack next season.
In contrast, I would have thought Gaffney, having held his spot all season after being promoted in the 4th game, would have been considered a "core" player and yet he is not listed - has he committed to the Club?
Let's hope some height arrives at the club because, at present, we are very short. What happens if Bornholm gets hurt? No-one in the Seconds over 193cm. Thompson is probably the next tallest player. (also someone keeps talking up Bornholm's height. Saw him standing alongside Ainger on several occasions during the huddles last season and Ainger looked at least 3 cm taller. So Bomber would be 194cm tops. Football Budget player statistics are way out)

Pleased to see Joey Sinor on that list, played a good game at Unley in Round 1 until he injured his ankle and just couldn't force his way back in once he recovered.
