He didn't get selected for our Reserves on Saturday and noticed he kicked 3 goals in the Amateurs.
Dale was an enigma in some ways but in all reality was always going to struggle at League level.
More depth lost though

The article on Facebook on SA Footballer page made it seem like that might not be the case.

Can we have Jack Hayes and James Tsitas "on call" seeing neither of them appear to be playing anywhere this weekend and no mentioned that they are injured

Think Hayes could be the medical sub.

Nope, that is Ryan Brynes. Where is Jack, not with Sandringham and just showing as omitted. No mention of injury. Well he will still be paid heaps

Checked it out, you're correct. What a waste.

Changa was watching from the couch yesterday, he posted on Instagram after Malcolm Rosas kicked his first goal. He had a solid game in the VFL last week.
Jack was omitted according to the team lists on Thursday, but they didn’t have any emergencies listed. Sandringham played Box Hill in the 2’s prior to the AFL game yesterday, wondered if he was held back as an emergency. On a side note it was Sandringham’s first game at the MCG since 1961
Jack may get straight back in this week if Ryder is suspended.

Just read on another site that Troy Menzel out for season with an knee injury. Sad to hear if true. I was surprised when he came back on the field after hurting it in the first place.

Re: THE 2022 SEASON
I believe his LARS replacement (about 10 years ago) has come just about to the end of it's life. I think he will give the knee a rest for about 5 weeks and see how it comes up and then make a decision on what to do. Would have been one of the first LARS and life span would not necessarily been known.

Re: THE 2022 SEASON
That’s a real shame. Troy has been playing very well and is one of the x-factors a team needs, particularly with the losses we’ve had. Let’s hope they can manage it for this season.

Re: THE 2022 SEASON
I really wonder if about 1 month of AFL level conditioning is enough to stand the rigours of AFL matches. Most of the other players have been at a higher intensity training since last November or thereabouts.

Re: THE 2022 SEASON
I wonder if the U18 alarm bells are sounding. Our kids were smashed again today. I notice how the bays are very strong at this level. Is this a result of us losing a fair bit of our zone to them.

It's not looking very good for the U18's and the U16's also got stiched up. The U16's defeated Glenelg in the opening match and have appeared to have had some good wins. The U18's have been very good for the last 4-5 years. It could be just a cyclical thing.
Glenelg did have have our Henley area for a while but we have now been given this back. I don't know what we had to give up.
We have lost the Seaton/Findon area from Grange Road to Trimmer Parade to West Adelaide. It's hard lining up former traditional areas to current zones.

Although I like my club winning at all the levels, the reality is that even in a team that wins the Premiership at U18 level that only 1-2 of them will ever become regular league players.
It's quite possible those players are already in the current team despite the scoreline.
The other thing that we need need to consider is the Eagles long injury lists filters down through our grades meaning that there may be a couple of our better players that have been elevated to play reserves who otherwise would be playing U18.
Separately I note that there is a Niemann playing in the U18s. Is that former player David Niemann's son?

Re: THE 2022 SEASON
Welcome "Titan2". Currently there are no U18's playing in the reserves. The only two U18's that have played reserves this season are D'Aloia and Phillipou but they are back in the U18's.
I don't think our injury list is all that long with Clay Cameron due back on Monday and Jimmy T. played last week in the reserves. What has hurt us is the absence of our two best ruckmen Redden and Guilhaus.
We had a very good U18's team last year and 17 of the team have been promoted to the senior list of 57. It's the under 18's from last year now playing reserves and league that we must get 4-6 that become regular league players.

Re: THE 2022 SEASON
So, 5 Rounds in, how are we faring?
Sitting 3 wins 2 losses in 5th position, the first 3 games we kept our head above water and the last 2 games we’ve started to play the way we’ve expected an Eagles team to play under Sheedy.
The positives are all our mainstays are still playing well - Knight, Sinor, Rowland, Thompson etc.
Ballenden looks a superb player. Interesting to see how his role plays out with Redden back and probably most importantly, does he get through the mid-season draft?
Our astute recruiting from last year is still paying off with McFarlane and Hardie playing good league footy. Credit to them and the club for sticking with it after finishing in the Reserves last year.
Clarke looks classy, Duval looks solid and we know what Allmond will bring - so 4 good recruits plus McFarlane and Hardie is a good result.
Williams is probably the biggest plus for me. I thought he may have come on last year - but with more opportunity this year he has shown his class up forward and body wise, looks a league player now. Should only get better.
The negatives are the injuries to Redden and T.Menzel. Hopefully the Menzel gamble can pay off and he can contribute this year. Without Redden and Guilhaus, we have been relying heavily on Ballenden in the Ruck and D.Menzel up forward, who have both been up to the task. It will be exciting to see Ballenden get a crack at playing a full game.
We haven’t been able to get close to full strength yet, due to injuries/Covid, but that is not so important at this time of year.
None of the real young players have locked themselves in. Lukac, Phillips and Hoile have had a taste. Will Pearce looked promising on the weekend, in a position of need too. The Reserves have started well, so plenty of depth options. D’Aloia seems stuck in a struggling U18s team and unlikely to make an impact at league level?
All in all, a solid start to the season and all things considered, we’re in a healthy position. I think we rank slightly below Glenelg, Sturt and North at this stage, so will need to keep winning the games we’re favourites in to have an opportunity to finish top 3. It seems the Crows Reserves are a better team this year too and Norwood, South and Port will challenge us for a spot in the 5.
