I think Sheedy wants to use the young ones more

Ben Nason back to Centrals I’m not sure he played league
So not really a big loss

Ben played the last 2 leaague games and was one of the best players in the Eagles Reserves finals. He can thank Loergan for not being given much of a go. So that explains it. Lonergan was not a coach despite what the board kept saying nor a people person, Good ridance in my book

I'm unsure which 3 you are referring to. WWT has five players in the SANFL/AFL academy. Lachy Jones, Zac Phillips, Caleb Poulter, Taj Schofield and Henry Smith. Lachy Jones showed a lot of promise last season and has a strong mature body I feel if any of this 5 are to play league it would be him, the others are no way near ready, but surprises can happen. I spoke to the coach about last years U18's and who could possibly play league this year, he suggested that Lachy McNeil might be the only one. I feel as long as the promising youngsters are given plenty of exposure in the reserves we will eventually reap the benefits.

Sheedy may well promote a few going by what I’ve seen online .

Will be an interesting call on who is captain this year and what process Sheedy uses to decide. We still look thin for genuine, inspirational leaders.

Did anyone see the Zac Milbank article on which SANFL players will be a stand out this year .
I can’t access the Adelaide now site to see who the stand out eagles player is .

I’ve edited this was in a hurry yesterday.

Went to training last night, nothing of interest to report.
The team had it's camp last weekend.
Rowey has changed his body shape significantly, nearly unrecognisable.
Internal trial Friday 6th March 5.30pm Footy Park.
The league play port power reserves on Friday 20th March at alberton oval. The reserves will play their trial for that weekend against PAOC on the Sunday, I believe also at alberton.

Any idea when our captain will be announced

Went to eagles time trials on the 13th of last month which was the first training for the year and met the new ones probably 3 unlisted players not listed here not sure of name but a college lad might've been told but forgot his name, Rupert someone and Liam
someone from Kaniva not Buxton another lad met Pierce and Rupert together that's before Ben Nason left the club so maybe someone else has joined the club got a lift back with a league player that evening which we're talking about footy etc just about all the way back to wherever, met Pierce, Liam Buxton, Rhyan and Damien as well as caught up with a few of the others

Z Williams, Hoile, Beecken, Coff, McNeil overaged players maybe someone else or others but never caught up with everyone so I'm not sure if that's all and never spoke to coaches or met them but did meet a official that came over with the league coach from his former club so didnt ask his official role was at the club

I’ve done a bit of digging no I don’t know who will be captain
But it will not be the Pup or Jack Hayes I’m to polite to say what I was told about those two .
And an email is coming out Wednesday to announce the captain

Update its Luke Thompson captain and Jesse Lonergan and Joseph Sinor it was announced today though no eagles email yet

Just to go back to the subject of players, Sam Phillipou's son's making his debut for our under 16's tomorrow at Thebby @ 9:30 his junior club is Phos Camden

Believe he is Sam's son. Also the Niemann named at f/forward is Scot Niemann's son, nephew of David Niemann.
