Mickyj don't panic. Ist point its a rumor section. 2nd point they mention within 20km of CBD so its all coaches. Godden is a professional coach so I would not be surprised if it was him.
I would not be surprised at PAP looking at him. PA like to pinch personnel from us all the time.

The coach in question is Heath Younie... been replaced by Ryan O'Keefe.

this is another bad player loss...one of the few players in the b grade that could step up and play at the level and now gone...this thread should be retitled what do we need to do to not be crap in 2017

I always rated Aseri but he has not played for A Grade for awhile. Its best if some B Graders move on if they do not figure in MG's plans. I like our recruiting team and am sure they will get the right recruits after AFL draft.

He is definitely an a-grader but the club thought he could only play full back or chb and rated Thompson and Von Bertouch higher. Now VB is gone..he would have been the perfect replacement. I have doubts whether Giles will ever be fit enough to play. I'm hoping the club will go out an recruit some replacements but not holding my breath....talking to b- graders from Centrals doesn't really give much hope.

they are talking to centrals bgraders again
I have no clue whats going on at the Club i understand we must wait on the Club.
Nothing about Bobbie leaving from the club .
I heard a whisper we are trying to get Stewart back
another ex afl oldie coming home if we are lucky
We need another ruck man or two we need pace in the mid field

I didn't say he was a B-Grader as I have always rated him. He was a more than good player at PAM and I was happy when we recruited him. The money must be an issue as he will make heaps in the Barossa. Not much money at WWT seconds and Godden may have told him his chances of A-Grade are slim.
What's this about chasing Centrals reserves player? They were near bottom last season. Unless they are up and coming juniors. We still have to pay transfer fees.
Godden has a good record of getting the best out of other clubs rejects, Lewey, McGregor, Bomber, can't think of any others
2011 we had Grieger, Parry, Grocke, Day that were rejects from other clubs. Maybe not Parry.
Wundke, Ainger, Boyd
Matthew Raymond was ex Centrals

Re Aseri Rakawaisi (? spelling):
Thought selectors got it right in season 2016 - not in our best 21 players but would have been around the mark in 2017 and the selectors would have been disappointed to see him go. Whereas he showed speed when up and running, he had slow reaction time inside 10 metres and this held him back. Because of our lack of height in the Seconds, he was forced to play out -of-position as a ruckman for the entire season and wasn't able to show his best talents. Our lack of height in the Seconds has forced several players to play out of position in the Seconds and limit their development - Sam Heinjus (2012-2014) was always going to be too short for a league ruckman and should have been groomed for CHB. Jack Hayes had to stop gap there this season too. Young kid Bacqueri, good player, but obviously too short and should be developed as a key position player or else he's in the "graveyard" stop-gap ruckman till he also leaves.

RE Mathew Appleton - a hard worker and the type that you want to see succeed and the club has tried him on approx 3 separate occasions over the past 2 seasons where he has had 2-3 games each time. His massive possession numbers in the Seconds hasn't translated to good numbers in the league. From the time I saw him in the U18s, his disposal has been a problem. He's doing best for himself (and the Club) by trying out with another club and I hope he does well.

I don't mind going for a few b graders from other clubs for depth to cover injuries but not as a plan to replace some of the clubs best players...you have to recruit these days to remain competitive and hoping this is the case for the coming season...not sure of the players they spoke to at Centrals....but one was definitely the son of ian hanna who declined from what I understand...another player they were keen on was Jay Shannon from North but heard nothing lately so assuming that it isn't going to happen

Shannon was pretty keen on us when he shifted from Port...I don't think we could fit him in salary wise at the time. His performances have tapered off in the last two seasons, it will be interesting to know his age. I'm not sure but I think he works with Lewy as a mechanic on Port Road. I have not heard of any approaches to him but his best footy was pretty good.

I guess this is why its called the silly season we have no idea whats going on .
Luke Powell going on that little heroes run may not have been at the right time or early enough not to hurt player talks .

Stewart signed today, and Butcher definitely on the radar.

Plus, talking to a key ruckman recently delisted.

Personally i think its great some are posting what they know or what we have read on other pages .
I know Stewart was on Gods radar hopefully he has signed with us .
Butcher it was a forgone winner for Centrals then their very own fans started posting the Eagles are after him and they are wrried Hocking will take him to south .
Ruckman we need ill say a guess and just a guess Lownder he was mentioned in a rumour earlier .

Basically we need to see the draft friday then the club may tell us more .or tell us something

If Stewart has signed that is great, the players are keen to have him on board plus he will be a great mentor to the juniors in the squad.
I will be staggered if we go for Butcher but as eluded to it appears we may be in the mix - not sure what position he could play for us, it would have to be in defence.
