Well done to the Eagles Club in the way they've handled the Nathan Daniel case - if they can't assure him of a regular spot, give him a chance elsewhere - is he a give-away or are we selling him. The Eagles recruiting appear to have centred on introducing pace (at last!) and Nathan certainly doesn't fit that bill, neither does Treeby but Leigh's got the footy skills that Daniel lacks.
Best of luck to him and hope he does well in his new home.
If we don't lose Jacquier, Von Bertouch, in the draft and with Heinjus, Fitzgerald , Hill and Day, we're going to have a bottle neck of talls in the Seconds forward line that's going to make it tough to fit them in without some tough decisions. With Culley and Killian already key backline players and possibly a couple of others (U18s and Christian Grocke), little wonder that Staple is looking at opportunities elsewhere.
Still Gold Coast might solve things by drafting Jacquier, von Berouch (and Harding)

Jacquier and harding cant be drafeted to gold coast only to the GWS this year

Interesting that Ivan Maric has been promoted to the Crows leadership group. I would have thought that, having recruited Sam Jacob, that he would have the first crack at the No.1 rucking spot with the second ruckman being a more mobile versatile type (hard to carry 2 dinosaur-type ruckman with the new interchange rules). May suggest that Maric is presently considered No. 1 in which case, Sam Jacob might be seen at the Eagles more than expected.
Would be a pretty formidable ruck combination of Jacob and Parry, maybe allowing Parry to "pinch-hit" in the forward lines as the 3rd strong tall along side Hentschell and Grocke and with Kite, Hall and Rimington (or Travis Lane) running amok, what a forward line!!!!! Friday night rambling!!!

If you guys are going to training, you will notice a big bloke (new centre half back) training - as of next week. The Eagles may have completed our recruiting, but not all names appear to have been made public, yet.

Is there any contingency for losing players in the rookie draft or the pre season draft? Grocke and Jarrad have been talked about, but are they likely to be taken in these drafts? We'd be paddling up the brown stuff if both go.

Well Flash I was also lead to believe that this particular 'unnamed' player would commence training next week!! I will not be there tomorrow night so will have to wait until Monday night to check this out.

ahh yes he is supposed to be back .
That wasn't the "ONE" I was thinking about Flash .But will be happy to have him back as well.
