There was a rumour going around a while back about Dolling from Port as well as backwell

i'll add them to the list but i've heard we dont want backwell

Welsh an out ? isn't he contracted for next season.
Hentschel ? was hoping he might return to us full time next season.

Thats why there are rumors know one knows what hentchell is going to do next year.

Welsh is contracted but at his age who knows what he'll do and the injuries he has had late in the season.

added all the draft camp possibility's that could be leaving. It's a big list, shows how good our junior development has been.

Of course we have a great junior system at the Eagles. All the best players come here.

Looking at the way Trent was getting players to sign an eagles clock after presentations on Sunday night I'd say he's played his last game.
Also didn't like the body language of Powelly when he was going to collect his award.

Backwell=damaged goods
Dolling= would be great but may cost too much if he wins PAM's B & F

Where and why has the rumour of Dolling come from? Ideal pickup, if we got him. If we paid $30,000 for Welsh, then Dolling at ? 22 years of age would be good value at $20,000.
Not so for Backwell.

Actually, I've known about the rumour for a couple of months now; only I stayed true to my promise not to tell anyone until after the season. So, it's definitely a good chance, but I'll wait until the deal is done before acceptances.

With Welsh and Hentschell gone our number one priority would have to be a gun full forward

If he does I think it would only be to catch up with his family. After talking to him Friday night at B & F I get the impression that after a few small ops & his honeymoon he will be ready for pre-season, a bit later than the rest of the team because of the honeymoon.
After hearing Cica's speech on winning the B & F he is definitely not ready to hang up the boots either.

I spoke to Luke very recently and he assured me that he will play-on next year. He said that he has definately not considered hanging-up his boots.

Could there be 2 'Christians' (No, not as in religion - that is their first name) in the tri colours next season. Christian Bock has been delisted by the Bombers and Christian Grocke has expressed some interest in a return to the nest.
Wouldn't that add a bit of height and strength to the team?
(Christian Bock @ 205cm and Christian Grocke is built like Adam)

Flash mate wasn't Bock heading to the gold coast to play with his brother .

Micky, it wouldn't surprise me that Christian Bock does head off to the GC as they are in need of a ruck - BUT, they probably want an experienced one.
I would still expect Christian to go in the draft though.

We can still hope though can't we??
