We should easily win with current lineup. Let them get fit for 3 weeks' time.
Can anyone out there find out if the cricket club will be open. It was shut for the NA match.

Re: Eagles v South Maughan Thiem Kia oval 11 May
Great effort by Goldsworthy and Redden.
To think they were premiership players in 2011 and still going is amazing. Particularly with Redden's retirement - what a pleasant surprise his return has been. And the injury issues Goldsworthy has been battling for the past 4-5 years - he was under a cloud going in to the 2020 GF, before kicking a brilliant goal to kickstart that famous 2nd quarter. Our final goal of the 2011 Grand Final was also off his boot - the goal that would ultimately save us that premiership. Then the injuries got the better of him to miss 2021 and it looked like the end could be near since then.
Both highly skilled players, a small, dynamic, left footer and a giant ruckman, hailing from the Southern Yorke Peninsula. Plenty of km's covered to get where they are today.
Zac Milbank mentioned it is the first time an SANFL player has brought up 250 games since Paul Thomas in 2015. An amazing effort. Justin Cicolella has played the most games for the WWT Eagles, on 266. If Goldsworthy plays every game this season and we play 4 finals, he'd join Cica on 266 games on GF day!
These two deserve a big win at home on Saturday and I'm sure Jacob's will have the team primed to deliver.

Another Goldy milestone just on FB
Another pending Matthew Goldsworthy milestone that’s slipped under the radar, is that he sits on 199 SANFL League goals.
Only 4 other players in WWT history have kicked over 200 goals: Mark Passador (312), Scott Morphett (290), Adam Grocke (236), and Andrew Taylor (219).
Goldy has kicked some big goals over the journey, particularly in Grand Finals - but here’s a look back to 2013 when the goal sneak kicked the winner after the final siren to win the game for the Eagles

Stronger looking side with Menzel and Thommo in. I thought Barkla was serviceable last week and Firns super. Unless there is an injury there will be 3 unlucky players.

Agreed it looks decent.
Neumann needs a spell in the reserves to find a bit of footy. Play him in midfield - not left to wallow in a position up forward he clearly isn't suited to.
Moore, Firns, Mawson and Barkla on the interchange bench for mine.

Looks a strong team. Like the lineup.
Still need to continue to build the kind of team football that good teams play week after week. Injuries over the last 2 weeks haven’t helped that. Sam’s definitely on the money!

Under 0q16s vs Sturt 10am and under 18s vs Sturt at 12:20 at Unley. It won't surprise me if Griff Hansen comes back to watch the league if he hasn't got anything on as he watched the reserves play when we plated north about a month ago but not sure if Oscar Pearce would do the same. Talking about that does anyone know the situation re Luck he hasn't played under 18s for about a month or whatever it is. I don't like to ask if he's playing for Wallaroo or injured though in the state under 18s. I feel awkward whenever i ask re stuff especially when its none of my business though know Tom and his mum.

He's not played any games for Wallaroo, so presume he's injured?

Ok. Thank you. Yes he must be. Haven't seen the squad yet for under 18s state trial game to see who's playing from the club. Know that he was carrying a knee injury during last season that's why he was playing up forward to rest it.
