Would love to have Polec back. Supremely skilled. Would dominate SANFL.

Yeah I asked on SA footy I’m having a bad chemo day almost went off at a place that’s helping me as they’ve stuffed me around for a third time lol

His highlight reel looks OK but I'm yet to see a bad one....
Young and tall, looks like Souf played him in Defence in his debut game in R7 this year. Hopefully Sheedy can develop him into a key position player.

Preseason started this morning at the Uni. loop. A two km time trial and a run to Montefiore Hill and back were the easing in exercises. A few new faces, a Port Lincoln lad, one from Port Douglas and Carter Norman from Nth Albury, Luke's son.
The lad from Port Lincoln is Zane Montgomerie, plays for Elliston Districts in the Great Flinders Football League. Was a star in Eyre Peninsula footy in the 2022 season. Rated the third best player in Eyre Peninsula footy. Ricky MacGowan recommended him to the club and Rick coached him in the State country team that beat WA country at Adelaide Oval during the season.
Some of last years U18s plus Tyler Welsh from the U16s were also out.
A few seniors were missing.

Jack Redden, 6th in this year's West Coast B & F reported to have returned to South Australia and play country football for Willunga. Reckon every SANFL club will be in his ear to join them.
 

I don't think we will be pinning our hopes on Sladojevic. I think you will find we will have done quite well in the recruiting stakes. I think we will do target recruiting, we don't want to clog up our list, with Rowe and and Poulter yet to find homes, and in to the future the possible delistings of Wehr, McNeil, Mansell and Henry Smith. I have trust in our football dept. and they won't except mediocracy. Don't get too anxious.
