Long Term Injury Process
PLAYER NAME NATURE OF INJURY TIME EXPECTED OFF
Seb Guilhaus Ankle 3-4
weeks
Jarrad Redden Hip 3-4 weeks
Troy Menzel Knee 3-4 weeks
Jesse Lonergan Shoulder 2-3 weeks
Kobe Mutch H&S Protocols Test
Jimmy Toumpas Calf Test
Joseph Sinor Illness Available
Brock Thomson Hip 3 weeks
Brayden Calvett Concussion 2 weeks
Aron Asfaha Knee Indefinite

Jarrad Redden injury seems to be getting more weeks in recovery time. Seb at this rate will be back before Redden. May be a blessing.
Kobe Mutch ,Jimmy Toumpas  , Joseph Sinor  will be more than handy ins.

Looks like Port hit with Covid. Mead and Mayes out of the SANFL side and Frederick upgraded to replace Farrell for the Power. Did they want to borrow some more of our players to make up a team?

Albert Ebert is Russell's grand son. Albert is Ben's son.
Would be appropriate he plays for Eagles (WWT), as his grandfather coached Woodville.

With 6 first choice players missing, today's win at Alberton against a Magpies team that had beaten Glenelg the previous week, must rate amongst the gutsiest wins of the past 3 season's. Port threatened with their pace, skill and height but when the rain came, our superior work rate and intensity was superb.

Woodville-West Torrens produced a tradesmen-like 26-point win against Port Adelaide at Alberton.

Without star midfielder Riley Knight due to Covid protocols, the Eagles had unheralded pair Joseph Sinor and Sam Rowland step up through the centre square as the visitors took control in the third term.

Facing a five-point deficit at half-time, the Eagles kicked the only three goals in the premiership quarter before hard-working Jack Firns made things difficult for the Magpies with his bouncing goal to open the fourth term.

Star Eagles forward Daniel Menzel was dangerous all afternoon, making the most of his chances to kick four goals, including the sealer late in the final term.

Sinor collected 29 disposals while Rowland had 28 and Essendon recruits Dylan Clarke and Kobe Mutch tallied 25 possessions each.

Former Eagle Lachie Jones tried his best to make an imprint on the game for the hosts with 24 touches while development player Ethan Moore had 23 disposals, five clearances and a tackle.

Port forward Charlie Dixon appeared to get through the game unscathed, finishing with 10 disposals and a goal.

A good win not a great win. I liked Firns game all round the ground. Made PA work . Scored goals and rucked well. Comma's tackling game was good although he always has a brain fade pass to undo his good work. Clarkes best game. Dixon imho was a waste of space. Was like an extra man for us. Bellenden will be our star recruit this year. Menzel is unbeatable around goal but why those round the corner kicks when not far out from goal although if they work, keep them up.

Good win. Important win.

In those conditions, the highly skilled players stand out and I was a little surprised to see Zac Buck stand out as much as he did with his control of the ball in the wet and his skills by foot. Really impressive. Rowland and Sinor were fantastic. The last half in particular, when the rain came down, was impressive.

Reckon seven first choice plus Guilhaus (I would include Guilhaus, if he comes back before Redden his presence would allow Ballenden to play CHF a lot more of the time).

Knight
Allmond
T. Menzel
Lonergan
Redden
Toumpas
Cameron

A great effort from the Eagles yesterday, tough, tough, tough. Some of the lesser lights such as Buck, Firns, Comma and Rowland were superb. As I have mentioned previously our tenacity and perseverance have lifted to another level under Sheedy. Sinor is getting better each week. Mutch and Clarke very consistent each week.

Thanks for the run down on the Eagles/Port game guys. I will never go to Alberton oval due to the abuse you get from the feral. The Sanfl app broadcast doesn't work so it's good to hear how we faired
