Thommo was certainly in our best. McFarlane got better as the game went on. Going to be massive asset. Mead made errors early but came into the game strongly. Like the look of Clay Cameron and the way he moves around that forward half. Individually the forward line was packed, but there is no way that balance is right. I think Von Bertouch may be better used down back - Lehman not real impressive on debut. Stengle to add some more zip.

I liked what Pudney and Jungfer offered too. Both look like they could be important improvements to the league side this year and have stepped up a level.

I thought we didn't combine that well as a team, but with so many new faces that was to be expected.
Before the match I thought we were too tall especially in defence. On a hot day like Friday another runner would have been priceless.
The coach's saying "there is no excuse for being unfit" showed out in the quarter.

Really like the way Ben Jungfer is developing, fearing he might get drafted.
