Andrew Capel is saying the Eagles have got the Menzel brothers.

An Eagles player has indicated the club could release an announcement this afternoon.

WWTFC announcement that we have the Menzel brothers. In my earlier post, my proposed team listing deficiency in midfielders and HF is now mostly fixed. But at what cost? Hope they're "team first" players, that they can remain durable re injuries, that they stick around for at least 3 seasons (mindful of their age) and that their transfer fees and match payments don't bleed our Club dry. Hopefully, they will quickly kill our cynicism and become good servants of our Club. Welcome Troy and Daniel.

I’m thinking the giant hissy fit or dummy spit these leaving the dogs has really hurt them .

I was told this morning that PA have interviewed Zane Williams with the intention of rookie drafting him.

Seems to have been some unrest out at Elizabeth this season, very un-Centrals like. Guess it's a similar situation to Allmond leaving us, adds a bit of spice for the games next year.

I hope we signed them only because they approached us, and not the other way around. I hardly see the wisdom in signing injury prone players. We've been bitten by this on a number of occasions prior - Kite, Kirk, Eddy...even Tiller didn't play many matches for us in 2011. I know there's others.

Whether Menzel bros. approached the Eagles or not, we would have had to pay Centrals a transfer fee which is a concern. Age, injury risk, some suggest attitude have been mentioned. We must be positive and move on. A forward line with Jack Hayes, the spectacular marking (NEAFL goal of year) Clay Cameron at CHF, Sharman's raw X factor, Von Bertouch and then the classy skills of the Menzel Bros, specialist HF flanker skills of Mitch Hardie and Rowe (if not drafted) make for a formidable forward line. Providing they get supply from our midfield.

I believe one of the Menzel brothers was having a casual chat to a senior Eagles player and mentioned they were unhappy at the Dogs, this was mentioned to club admin. and things went from there.

I like that sounds the best way to recruit senior players .

Saw on another site Pup is playing at Hahndorf. All the best if so.

Excellent news re Tsitas. Works beautifully with Sinor, Toumpas etc. If Foote doesn’t return, he might be the one that plays that more attacking role. Very confident about 2021 now - even if we get hit hard by the AFL draft.

Saw some footage of Tsitas playing on the weekend up in Darwin. Beautiful to watch and seems to have so much time which good players do. Kicked a nice running goal and gave his old club a salute after he kicked it. Doesn't mind getting into opposition players either.

The recruiting at this stage has been amazing for this time of the year. All credit to those responsible. I would like to throw some kudos to those responsible for getting Jade. I was a Godden fan but lukewarm on Lonergan mainly because he was an interstater. Jade has taken us to a new level.

Seriously I read somewhere Sheedy and Powell both from interstate has helped bring in interstate recruits . You might have posted it Goddy lol
