Disappointing to hear that Nick Salter has signed with ACT team Ainslie for 2014.

Salter and Kirk were both going to be important "INS" for 2014 and now missing them both. It will now give Zac Fitzgerald a chance to really establish himself as a regular forward although Tasman Fitzgerald (if not drafted) may also provide useful competition.

I missed that about Salter Premiers but had heard during the year he was looking around .

Good Luck to Nick. I don't blame him to go elsewhere. He probably doesn't want to play against his former team mates at Port Power reserves
Wouldn't surprise me if a few others are not prepared to play in a comp to support practice teams of the AFL

Disappointing that Salts is leaving however I think Fitsgerald deserves an opportunity to see if he can play consistent league footy

The clubs seems to be linked with a number of Ex Port players if you believe other forums

Nick Joyce just delisted by Crows. Would be a handy get for us because we've not seen his best yet. Good kid and nice family.

Anyone hear what delisted (WWTFC) GWS Joshua Growden is doing next season?
How is Grocke progressing in his recovery? With these post Tendo Achilles repairs, a lot of uncertainty as to full recovery.

I cannot see Wundke,Grocke and Ainger playing forward. It would leave us to top heavy.

I'm thinking maybe Grocke if he is fully fit at the start of the year that he could play as a key defender

I just don't see us recruiting 2 midfielders, a Ruckman and a key defender on top of Wundke.
There wouldn't be enough room in our salary cap and also its asking a hellva a lot from our recruiting

There seems to be a lot of players leaving on top of the AFL Players - i'd be happy if we were able to get Mickeljohn and Boyd and then try and fill the rest of the gaps internally - maybe if Growden returns he maybe able to step up or Appleton although likely will be drafted along with Dunstan and Karpany

Have to be doubts over Grocke's fitness but can't see why couldn't play 3 talls and 3 small swould be hard to match up on. Fitzgerald would probably have to play back as we don't have many other tall options other than Von Bertough
