The WWTFC can confirm Adam Grocke was found guilty of a Rough Conduct offence at last night’s SANFL Tribunal Hearing. The Tribunal Panel interpreted the incident as Intentional, Severe Impact and High Contact amounting to 650 points. A 5% loading and 62.5 carry over points were added to the penalty for a prior offence in 2012. The Tribunal Panel used its discretion in not deducting its normal 25% for Grocke’s early guilty plea meaning Adam will miss 7 matches with 45 carry over points.


Peter Schwarz, Chief Executive Officer stated “Adam regrets the incident and has taken full responsibility for his actions. Adam has forged a great career to date built on effort and an uncompromising approach to his football. On this occasion he erred in judgement. Adam’s character and approach to his football cannot be questioned. He is a quality person and a respected player within the Club. The Club accepts the tribunal’s decision and will support Adam in dealing with the suspension.”

The Woodville West Torrrens Football Club is pleased to announce that 5 players from the Eagles have been named in the initial 31 Man 2014 SA State Squad that will take on Victoria on Saturday the 31st of May in Melbourne. Luke Powell, Luke Jarrad, Matthew Goldsworthy, James Boyd and Michael Wundke were rewarded for good form throughout the first 6 rounds of the Season. The finalised 22 man State Team will be announced on Wednesday the 28rd of May. Michael Godden will again coach the State Team after victories against W.A and the NEAFL over the past 2 years.
