The Eagles have been significantly strengthened ahead of their massive encounter with North at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Star forward Jack Hayes returns from a minor shoulder injury while 200 Club member Matt Goldworthy and joint vice-captain Jesse Lonergan are also in the 25-man squad.

Coburg recruit Sam Lowson is on the extended interchange bench with fellow inclusions Jake Weidemann and Kai Pudney.

Experienced wingman Chris Hall has injured his calf while Tristan Carcuro and Jordan West were sent back to the Reserves.

There were eight games before last Friday's nights game where they looked pretty good. There is still a couple of days to go before they play, could be a couple of fitness tests. Winning eight in a row and keeping the winning streak going generally takes a mental toll. Have faith in the coach that he can get them up and going.

I posted both team lists from sports page they aren’t in the side . That page has every sides team on Friday’s , mind you North’s list has extra players .

I always look at that site and saw the final 22, but there is till a training session to be got through and as some of the injuries appeared match missing a player could still pull out. I went to training on Wednesday night and Jimmy T. didn't train only did the stationary bike training he still might have to prove his fitness. Originally Sam Lowson's injury was assessed as a 2-3 week injury, we have seen late replacements in the past.

We have an extra day to get over the injuries but I think the Weed has played well and deserves a go as does Pudney.

We have an extra day to get over the injuries  but I think the Weed has played well and deserves a go as does Pudney.

"goddy11" have to slightly disagree with you about "Weeds", his field play has been pretty good but his goal kicking has been putrid. Can only kick them from a metre out. In the last 3 weeks he has missed some from 10 metres straight out in front, he has the yips. Would like to see him succeed, is a good mark and quite athletic.
