Seen Wehr and Jones debut

Its going to be a long year. JT looks burnt out.

Some real promising signs, despite the loss.

Of the new players, Seymour was really good early and will be a very good acquisition. His kicking is superb and seems an intelligent player back there. Jones was a little timid early, but after half time his attack on the ball and use of his body was superb. Is he capable of key position? Lock him in for every game.

Same with McNeil. What a class act. Good hands and another superb kick. Liked that Sheedy put him on ball in the last quarter. Another lock in for every game.

I thought Wehr and Mansell were good too. Played their roles and both have a bit of pace and something about them.

Still a bit of indiscipline amongst the group which must be stamped out. Need to replace Moore. Sharrad looks average. Toumpas poor.

A pity we couldn’t capitalise in the 1st and full credit to Cross and co who controlled the centre bounce in the last part of the game (and much of the 2nd and 3rd quarters). I thought they really needed to get Redden back on when we drew level at about the 27 minute mark. Wasn’t to be.

We started off well fell in to a hole like last year came back

But seeing youngsters playing five debutants in fact a very good start
It was a loss but just a loss

I actually thought Jimmy played ok, he was our highest possession winner, might have made a few mistakes but he wasn't on his own. Was good to see him get through a game.

Hopefully Jimmy can kick it to the advantage of the gold guernsey next week.

Jesse back next week he said he was lacking match fitness to me when i asked him if he was injured and saw Gray they're the only ones apart from Lachie Jones who i saw today Lachie stayed for the two grades so he didn't join in with the others upstairs on the balcony
