Re: Start of season 2020
Johansen was defiantly at the first training session for this year as he came up and gave me a friendly hug so he was training then maybe then changed his mind

Just got this 5 minutes ago. I might miss round 1
Dear G ......
Footy is back and we’re excited to be kicking it off with our first round of the SANFL Statewide Super League at Adelaide Oval next weekend.
At this stage, we still do not have confirmation about crowds, with SANFL waiting on an announcement from the State Government as to how many spectators will be able to attend.
However, we are very hopeful that our Eagles members will be cheering us on from the grandstands of Adelaide Oval.
We are currently working through the ticketing allocation process and wish to advise that Club Members will have the opportunity to register on Monday, 22nd June for a ballot to attend our Round 1 match.
Should the ballot be oversubscribed, priority for ticketing will go to those Club Members with Season or full Home match tickets as part of their membership. Junior Members also will be able to register for the ballot.
Information on how to register for the ballot will be emailed to you on Monday morning.
Please also note that SA Health requirements for contactless ticketing will mean members who are successful in the ballot will be issued an electronic, non-transferable ticket. This e-ticket must be scanned from the member’s mobile phone upon entry at Adelaide Oval.
Your membership barcoded Season or Home Match tickets or any paper tickets will not be valid for the matches at Adelaide Oval.
This will be a great opportunity for our loyal Members to be part of a unique SANFL footy experience at Adelaide Oval.
We thank you for your patience and continued support of our wonderful Club which is helping us through this season like no other.
Find the fixture HERE
Yours Sincerely,
Christine Williams
Club President

Re: Start of season 2020
In todays Sunday mail
Coach: Jade Sheedy Former Sturt champion and 2002 Magarey Medallist Jade Sheedy replaces Sam Lonergan, who resigned after just one season in charge to accept a development role with Richmond.
Sheedy coached Athelstone in the Adelaide Footy League for the past five years and led the club to the 2019 division two premiership.
SANFL premierships: Three since merger 1993, 2006 and 2011 (West Torrens premierships: 1924, 1933, 1945, 1953)
Key ins: Jake Johansen (returned), Kai Pudney (returned/Port Adelaide), Liam Buxton (Casey Demons), Mitch Mead (Port Adelaide SANFL), Pierce Seymour (Adelaide/Payneham Norwood Union)
Key outs: Cooper Gaffney (Port District, Adelaide Footy League), Harry Schoenberg (Adelaide), Jack Gaffney (Port District, Adelaide Footy League), Jackson Mead (Port Adelaide), Josh Morris (Hawthorn), Kysaiah Pickett (Melbourne), Michael Frederick (Fremantle), Trent Burgoyne (Port Adelaide)
X-Factor: Jordan Foote Foote, who is the reigning club champion, will enter his second season with Woodville-West Torrens after crossing to the Eagles from Sydney.
The classy midfielder enjoyed a top debut SANFL season, averaging 24.7 touches from 18 games in 2019 as well as kicking nine goals.
His work rate last year was admirable and expect it only to improve in 2020.
Ladbrokes betting: $7
Verdict: 4th to 6th The Eagles are a tough side to predict for this coming season.
Not only has the side - like all clubs - had to deal with the COVID-19 shutdown but it also st a bit of depth from its talent pool over the off-season, with a handful of players being picked by AFL clubs. Players will need time to jell and get used to Sheedy’s coaching style but the Eagles are always notoriously around the mark come finals.

Re: Start of season 2020
Comitogianni might get a league berth and Jack Hayes might be doubtful. Lonergan is coming along nicely now after a minor setback.

We'll get the teams soon, Cook has gone too, no surprise really he was hinting for a club with more $$ thought Moller had gone back to the country but he must've changed his mind

Haylock definitely training, must be injured. Lonergan didn't come up. Tom Gray also not selected. Think Jack Hayes will have a fitness test tomorrow night.
