Lonergan had ice on his leg after the game. I suppose precautionary.

Re: 2020 Grand final
Commitgianni and Seymour would have to be in consideration for a call up having played the majority of the season. I think we could do with the run Commitgianni gives (in place of Firns) and the penetration by foot Seymour gives (in place of Jungfer), provided both are 100%. The league game time West gained towards the end of the season could prove crucial if Redden doesn’t get up. Fingers crossed Goldsworthy gets up. He and Lonergan (and Lowson for that matter) have shown they can contribute with limited preparation, however it’s a fine line between that and being a man down early.
Number 35 for the M.M.
Number 4 for the J.O.

Good thoughts. Someone is going to be upset missing out. We cant go in carrying injured players. Firns in my opinion has done no wrong this year . Sheedy will pick the same side less injuries.
If he was here all year JT (4) would easily win the MM. Best recruit in years. I recall O'Brien (cant remember his 1st name) in 2015 as same. Actually JT (2) and Foote haven't been bad this year.

Re: 2020 Grand final
Eagles will come 2nd, 3rd 4th and 5th in the Magarey tonight! Expecting a very even spread with all of our contenders missing at least 2 games - Foote, Toumpas, J. Hayes and then Tsitas taking over in the second half of the year plus Rowey with his bags early in the year. Will be the highest polling team by a mile which is often the case. Douglas from Norwood is my tip with Boydy polling heaps of 2 votes. Bigger prize awaits.

Re: 2020 Grand final
Goddy you are thinking of Nick O' Brien who came over from Essendon. He was a great recruit, found the ball with ease and used his left foot to great effect. Let's hope Tsitas and Lowson stick around next year and we can lure Buxton back for another crack

Re: 2020 Grand final
I was a massive O'Brien fan. However, he had a very poor finals campaign. Came in with an injury and a rumoured hang over...... and did very little in our GF against Strut. He wasn't Robinson Crusoe on that front. Would have loved a second year out of him.

Very good player but he also deserted us after he told every one at the Champions ceremony that he would be continuing to play with us so lost my respectgoddy11 wrote:Gazz wrote:Goddy you are thinking of Nick O' Brien who came over from Essendon. Played the last 2018 & 2019 at Strathmore in the Essendon District League, same club that Flash went to when he returned to Victoria.

EAGLES
Woodville-West Torrens has added Jordan West to its squad as cover for ruckman Jarrad Redden in Sunday’s Statewide Super League Grand Final against North Adelaide.
Redden suffered a ”stinger” to his left shoulder in the dying stages of the Preliminary Final, forcing him to the bench where he was strapped with a significant ice pack.
The former Power giant is expected to be fit to face the Roosters but West has been named on the extended interchange should Redden not recover.
Midfielder Jake Comitogianni and defender Pierce Seymour, who were squeezed out for the 43-point win against South last Sunday, have also been included in the Eagles’ 25-man list.
F: Rowe, J. Hayes, Poole
HF: N. Hayes, Von Bertouch, Foote
C: McNeil, Toumpas, Goldsworthy
HB: Jones, Giuffreda, Mansell
B: Rowland, Thompson, Wehr
R: Redden, Sinor, Tsitas
INT: West, Lowson, Lonergan, Seymour, Jungfer, Comitogianni, Firns
IN: Comitogianni, Seymour, West

Re: 2020 Grand final
The momentum gained from that great Preliminary Final win against South should assist the Eagles tomorrow. It's interesting that for the past five years straight in the SANFL, the Premier has come from the winner of the Prelim Final, not the winner of the Second Semi Final. Also, in the last two Eagles Premiership years (2011 and 2006), we won the Grand Final after winning the Prelim Final. Let this trend continue!
