Mighty Eagles I like your arrogance(something our club needs to find and I think it has started to ) Fortress Woodville Very Happy .
Love the cheer squad to be chanting Fortress Woodville Fortress Woodville and God's Eagle army.Give those 6'000 Magpie fans a lovely warm welcome to the Power house club of the sanfl (yes I'm getting carried away again ).
GO YOU EAGLES Wink Wink
Now I hope we win we need to win this round !!!
Can't say much more until we know who will be playing in the A's.But I hope Maric and Cloake get called up to the afl !!

I need to hear the Eagles fans cheering very loud and proud when I'm listening on the radio when I am at Alberton. In the past I could hardly hear anything after an Eagle goal.

This raises an interesting question should the squad be closer to the Grandstand area where most fans sit .Get us stand dwellers going Very Happy

Sometimes I have heard those in the stands like yourself cheering the team on. Maybe moving around might be the answer. But the players might like having the cheersquad where they currently are behind the goals.

Perhaps we could hire the centrals fan who does "U DOGS" to get the crowd going Shocked

You're right about the crowd in the Grandstand. The most noise you hear is the sandwich wrappers at half time. Don't despair, Me and the boys and LEH will be back up there to make some noise this year.

Looking forward to this weekend. The Eagles first game of the season. Should be a good one to begin with too. This should be a very good game. The Magpies proved last week they won't be easybeats this season in a very good showing against the Dogs. We will have to be at our very best to get a win in the first up.

Yep they appear from what I have read adapted a centrals style of game .Be interesting to see us cope with a speedy side using that style of game plan.

It was mentioned yesterday on 5AA that both Knights and Burton will be lining up in the SANFL this weekend. But that was before the Crows game so they may reassess.

Will be a good game this one, Port surprised more than a few people when they very nearly knocked of the Doggies at Elizabeth. despite having a thin list, what they do have is firing well at the moment. Eagles for me by 19pts!

I hope for our sake that was like playing a finals game for Port .By that I mean they got all worked up at playing a depleted Centrals side .And this week have a downer or are coming down from playing a very big game.

Come all on Eagles fans lets make some noise and WELCOME the MAGPIES to the FORTRESS.Perhaps for the last time ever !!!

It would look much better if McKenzie, Parry and Rimington were in the side. For me, the jury is still deliberating on how good that side is and the depth we have for at least this week.

Well that's a good start. Some people may not agree with me but in my opinion the only decent umpire going around. Yes, he makes mistakes but he doesn't panic & get sucked in like most of his colleagues.

Agree word for word, Columbo! This is his 21st season at League level - started in 1990!

And, he is the only on-field link between our two premierships!

Having 3 umps has probably helped with his longevity.
Umpired both grand finals....93 would have been his first maybe...with Mark Westgarth???? Has he done any since 2006?
