He has been joined in the Eagles’ 23-man squad by nippy midfielders James Rowe and Jake Comitogianni.
Jack Gaffney is the only certain exclusion at this stage.
Midfielder Sam Rowland will play his 50th Macca’s League game.

You beat me to it goddy11 just put the team up
Seems the rumour on the other site that Seb will go to the hills if not in the league could be way off the mark.
Could be a ruck injury

Interesting as well is that Andrew McPherson is set to make his Club debut against us. Wish him a good game but unfortunately on a loosing team.

Percentage does not matter but we need to show a good all around the ground performance. Start our season with a good team game.

I agree
I think we need to win with a four quarters game

Correct Micky. Defence needs to not allow any easy goal.

That was a really bad game .
Eagles goal kicking to start with was crap the crows pushed the Eagles wide.
Crows Top up players weren't really sanfl standard players . You could see when the Eagles put applied pressure on them without actually being near them if that makes sense or the old saying heard footsteps.
Eagles win second highest score theyve kicked this year 114 points but really a nothing game

Agreed it was a terrible game. Jack Hayes had the yipps. Our goals came in bursts. Lets just be happy with the points. Gillhaus is a big boy with a weird kicking style. Did it get dark. Its a ridiculous time to finish the game. Those lights at the ground done nothing. I started walking to the car early and it was cold and I could barely see the southern end of the ground.
Mickyj. How was the U19 game against state team. Did Luko play. I was wondering why Rankine was allowed to play for West.

Yep watched the U18 v U19 couldn't see luko out there
Weed in our U19 stood out not sure about McLeod he was out there might need his match stats.
U18s were good the WA U 18s must've been really crappy
Not sure why Hayes couldn't kick straight
Seb is older than I thought left footer shows why the Eagles need four ruck men ready to roll
Two injured two perform
The U19 ruck didn't see the team list number 27 needs some time and some work but he may develop
The lighting looking at the jarman stand the brightest light was coming through an open window .
Why is the sanfl programing games at 2.40 at ovals with no lights
Time to grow balls and tell channel 7 no
Yep seeing the southern end was hard
Guff had a sight issue near me
And the boundary umpire a metre away from the ball three times last touch rule weren't paid
Clearly off the boot he couldn't see them lol

Re: Eagles V Adelaide June 9 Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval
Copied a report
Woodville-West Torrens claimed a comfortable 54-point win against Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval after overcoming inaccurate goal kicking and a third quarter resurgence from the visitors.
Having more than double the scoring shots of the Crows, the Eagles were only able to pile on the pain in the fourth term when they booted 6.2, including the last four goals of the match without a miss.
Thrown forward at various stages of the contest, experienced Eagle Matt Goldsworthy got the ball rolling for his side when he kicked a goal out of mid-air from the goal square.
But this only triggered an Eagles run of five consecutive behinds before three goals were kicked during time-on of the first quarter to chalk up a 22-point lead at the first change.
One of these goals came from the boot of veteran ruckman Seb Guilhaus, who was playing his first SANFL match since fronting for Central District in 2013.
The Eagles, who ended up having 77 more disposals and 22 more inside 50s than the Crows, then appeared to get the yips in front of the big sticks again as they kicked 2.7 during the second term, including the final five behinds in succession.
To Adelaide’s credit, it attempted to force its way through the door left ajar by the Eagles by kicking four goals in the third term but ultimately, being down a rotation on the bench proved costly for the visitors.
Development player Blake Launer was unable to rejoin the action after copping an accidental kick to the face during the second quarter, leaving the Crows a man down for the second half.
And it was this fatigue which proved a factor during the dying stages as the Eagles went about building valuable percentage in the fourth quarter.
As is usually the case with the Eagles, it was a very even spread of contributions which helped secure victory, with veterans Scott Lewis and James Boyd winding back the clock to collect 67 disposals between them.
Adelaide was again well served by rookie Pat Wilson, who must be on the verge of AFL selection after racking up 33 disposals and a goal from the midfield.
The encouraging debut of draftee Andrew McPherson, who made his Macca’s League debut for Crows against his former team, was another positive as he finished with 13 disposals and six marks in defence.
EAGLES 4.5 6.12 10.16 16.18 (114)

GOALS – Eagles: Haylock, N. Hayes 3, Johansen 2, Boyd, Gray, Goldsworthy, Westbrook, Guilhaus, Thompson, Redden, J. Hayes.

Where was the report from Mickyj? Surprised they use leading stats instead of naming best players.

Best player wise, i think this was the best game Lewey has played in years. Boyd seemed to be in everything. I like Rowey.
Johansen had a quieter one. Goldy was ok but … Nick Hayes has a lot of X Factor. Becoming one of my favourites. Gus Poole is a terrier. Absolute plus as a link man. We have so many great smalls. Is there any chance we can get a few tall's. Saying that our rucks looked good.My thought earlier in the year that we will struggle for goals have not changed. Lack of key position forward is glaring.

I think the Crows game showed Pooles value he got in took down taller players and in this game he got frees for getting hit to high . AFL players are bigger stronger but can't adapt to smaller players Rowe showed them up as well
Yes Adelaide were too tall
Yes the Eagles weren't tall enough
If our shots on goal were goals not points bigger winning margin IMHO

I am worried about the Westies game this week. They are a very quick and tall side. Rankine needs to be tagged. He has amazing speed.

Rankine is in state 18’s squad isn’t he? They play Sunday, so we may not have to worry.

Good pick-up Columbo. What worried me last weekend is Rankine played for West and Luko played for SA in a trial. How did that happen?

We won no luko Against a side with no wins
They lost with Rankine By 1 pt against a side that pulled our pants down and they should have won
As above and you missed the point. Why are they able to play a player when ours plays in an underage trial?
