Woodville-West Torrens forward Adam Grocke must prove his fitness to take his place against West Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Saturday.
Grocke, who suffered his second concussion this season when he copped a knock to his head against North in Round 17, is still to pass the mandatory test with the club’s medico.
Saturday’s match would be Grocke’s last opportunity to play at Woodville after announcing he will retire at season’s end.
‘’He did a bit of running at training yesterday (Wednesday),’’ Eagles football manager Trent Hentschel said.
‘’He will be tested again by our doctor tomorrow (Friday). He’s been a crucial part of the team since he came over in 2006 so it would be great to have him out there. But first and foremost we will look after his health.’’
Elusive forward Lachlan McGregor heads the Eagles’ lists of inclusions after he booted seven goals in the reserves last round.
Former Central defender Jacob Templeton returns after two weeks on the sidelines battling pneumonia while Caleb Lloyd has built solid form in the reserves in the past fortnight after recovering from a hamstring strain.
Aaron Killian is the only certain omission from the 23-man squad, which must be trimmed by two before the bounce.
