Allmond is available after overcoming a heel injury, will he force his way back into the league side straight away or have a run in the ressies.
Zac Fitzgerald kicked 6 in the ressies last week so also has to come into consideration.

I think Allmond will play in the twos, what about Kane is he available for selection?
Would love Fitzgerald back in the side, but where? I like him as a fwd, we can't play 4 talls at once.
Do we look at Staple/Grocke moving down back?

I think we will see both Allmond & Kane in ressies this week.
Chris had 1 week suspension carried over from last year which he served last week.
Zac has a number of fans that would like to see him in league team. We would keep Stapes in the forward line and put Grockes at CHB.
Team selection tomorrow night will be interesting.

Preview
Both fresh from opening round victories, near neighbours the Eagles and West do battle in an early top of the table clash to open the 2013 home match program at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval, Wooodville.
Last weekend, at Envestra Park Unley, the Eagles recovered from a 32 point half time deficit to defeat Sturt by 26 points, kicking the highest score of the round (18.14.122) in the process.
Meanwhile at City Mazda Stadium Richmond, the Bloods kicked ten goals in the third quarter before holding on to defeat Central by 15 points.
The winner will lead the league ladder at game’s end and will join the winner of Glenelg v Norwood with a 2-0 record.
Statistics Of Interest
Head to Head the Eagles have won four of their past five encounters against West.
At Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval, the Eagles have won their last eight against the Bloods and thirteen of their last fourteen. West’s last win at Woodville was a decade ago in 2003.
They split their two meetings last year. In Round 10 at Richmond the Bloods won by 18 points whilst the Eagles prevailed at home by 16 points in their Round 24 encounter which saw them qualify for the Finals.
Public Transport
The oval is well served by Public Transport with regular Port Road buses (Stop 19) a five minute walk away and the Woodville Park railway station on the Grange & Outer Harbour line a further five minutes on.
For information on specific timetables go to www.adelaidemetro.com.au

Media Access

Re: Rnd 2 - Eagles v West @ Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval (Sat 6/4)
The concern I have is that as has been pointed out, West have not won at Woodville since 2003. That has to change some day.
Same as the fact that West have not kicked 100 points against us since Round 19 2003. The highest score since then is 87 points. And actually, West have only kicked 2 100 point scores against us since Round 9 1995 - Rd 19 2003 and Rd 13 2002.

Outs Staple (Omitted)
Interesting to see Staple omitted, thought Day may have been under pressure to keep his spot. Staple could have moved down back.
Kane & Allmond if they play will be underdone. Wests midfield looks good esp with the pwr lads playing.
Too close to call, but at home so Eags by less than 10pts.

West are without Crouch which I believe is a huge out. Eagles in a close one to extend the streak @ Woodville to 9

I don't think i've seen an Eagles Team since the merger with so many players that aren't up to league standard - it's going to be a long year i think.

That was bad. Thou West were Very good and will be around the mark with Nwd.
I'm with MScott I think it's going to be a struggle for us this year.
I'm really concerned about our midfield , West cut us to pieces.
Think we will be fighting for the last spot in the 5 until the very end, just like last year. Hope I'm wrong.
