2018 Trial game email

We had our first taste of football action for 2018 last weekend at the Australian Unity Fast Footy. With some key players watching on from the stands it was exciting to see some of the young Eagles talent on display. The likes of Jake Westbrook, Rhys Woods, James Rowe, Jake Weidemann and Cooper Gaffney performed at a high level over the four games whilst it was great to see Tom Gray in Eagles colours for the first time.

The next chance to see our Eagles teams is in the SANFL trial matches next month. See below for the trial match schedule for each grade.

Macca's League
Friday March 9th - Eagles vs Port @ Hickinbotham Oval 6pm
Saturday March 17th - Eagles vs South @ Hickinbotham Oval 2:10pm

Reserves
Friday March 9th - Eagles vs Port @ Hickinbotham Oval 8:10pm
Saturday March 17th - Eagles vs South @ Hickinbotham Oval 11:30am

Under 18's
Sunday March 4th - Eagles vs Norwood @ West Croydon Oval 1:15pm
Thursday March 8th - Eagles vs Central @ My Money House Oval 7:30pm
Sunday March 18th - Eagles vs Norwood @ City Mazda Stadium 4pm
Sunday March 25th - Eagles vs Sturt @ City Mazda Stadium 4pm

Under 16's
Sunday March 4th - Eagles vs Norwood @ West Croydon Oval 11am
Thursday March 8th - Eagles vs Central @ My Money House Oval 5:15pm

Hickinbotham Oval. Can they play any further away from TT Gulley. I would have loved to watch one of the games.

Yep for a trial game it's a bit far away but two weeks up there grrr

V South Adelaide on the Friday night, league match first as SA are unsure if lights will work or be good enough later on in the night, therefore reserves game might/might not go ahead. Due to SA's poor financial situation there has been no upkeep of lights.

Not that good Wimpy. You would have thought Port Adelaide may have found an alternative. They don't seem to put much back into the SANFL. I don't see to many of their AFL player being available as I think they have a match against the Crows.

Just looking at todays Advertiser and the Crows get a $2m a year rent free stadium for training. Surely we could use that rent free for some pre-season events.
