Good spot MJ. The SANFL website http://sanfl.com.au/ has a 2:10 start time but when you go to the fixture/result site it is 1:40
http://sanfl.com.au/league/fixtures/. I think the second may be correct as it is the televised game and it start at 1:30 on Ch7.

No worries Goddy11 i may have a burst ear drum but it did seem strange to me

Selection night will be interesting for this one. Do we rest or do we not?

Certainly i'd play Pressie for the out of McGregor, he's matured as a footballer and def has what it takes at league level.

Press has to come up
Do we play lewis for Boyd or bring in a quick kid and play O'brian and Hayes

Looking for a flicker of light in the gloom of despondency, it is better that Boyd's and McGregor's injuries have occurred 2 weeks out from the finals rather than right in the Finals - gives us a little room to prepare for their absence (although hopefully, McGregor can be there). Even in the unlikely event of Boyd passing the fitness tests in GF week including heavy contact/tackle tests, would you risk playing him after 4 weeks off ? - his shoulder would be a real target for the opposition.
Very open Finals series looming with South Adelaide and Adelaide building at the right time and looking huge threats.
Wouldn't mind Jack Hayes being given a run in the A's this week and letting Andrew Ainger know that he's on the edge - might need a rocket to perform.

Good call Premiers, i'm sure Jack's looking forward to his first league game. Any little niggles Ainger may have he should be able to shake over a break of two weeks. Nothing to lose with that move it's a win win.

Looking at that it seems the replacements are like for like. Press for McGregor and Sinor or Lewis for Boyd. Good to see Matty Raymond on the radar again. These kids need to know that their time is near otherwise we'll lose them.

I have not watched much of the reserves this year but last season I liked Raymond. Quick and good goal kicker. Good luck to any-one that comes in. They may stay in and have a premiership medallion around their neck.

Matty Raymond missed a few games this season with an injury, still pretty lethal around the goals but has played a bit in the middle since returning about 3 or 4 games ago and not doing too bad.

Not pretty to watch but it's times like this we keep our faith in the coaching panel as they are really the only ones that know what's going on.

Just saw the way Geelong stormed into the AFL finals though and thinking winning form is good form;)

Well that performance was reminiscent of last years Grand final. I hope they get that type of effort out of the way or we will be struggling

Really shocking performance. Nothing in the forward lines. I dont think Press done anything to enhance his position. Our entire forward line was inept. Norwood marked everything in their defense. The small oval did not help much. the score flattered us as lot of our points were scrambled through. Luckily no injuries or reports that I know of, so we have 2 weeks off and hope South and Sturt pummel each other into the ground.

Was not a great game Eagles had nothing to play for and it showed . hopefully no injuries and no reports .
And perhaps that norwood rumor was correct 15 league players leaving after the game could have given them the incentive to win. And yes some of the norwood dead heads kept rubbing it in thats how we play grand finals and they can win three in a row.... At least we have another week or two to play . I think Gods need to look at players in both sides and take the best into the next game

Even looking beyond yesterday's poor performance, our midfield clearances have been poor for a few weeks, including the good winning games against Centrals and Glenelg. When we win the centre, it will often be a scramble kick forward rather than the opposition's clean, take and run which gives the opposition forwards an arm-chair ticket.
Watching the centre clearances yesterday, 2 points:
1. Big Reddo, at the centrebounce, tapped the ball backwards over his shoulder to a vacant spot, Norwood swooped into the space, took the ball and one kick down to full forward. Is it the fault of our onballers not getting to the spot or poor communication between Reddo and midfielder.
2. Reddo appears to be dropping the ball in close with the midfielder then battling to fire off a quick accurate handball before being crunched. Like to see Reddo go for the longer hit (with our midfielders being a wake-up to it) more often, especially since Reddo has  been dominating in getting his hand to the ball. But it's not translating to take-aways.
Of course, last year we had Angus Rowntree in scintillating form, the best in-close midfielder, firing out handpasses with excellent decision-making and, for obvious reasons, he's not up to that form.
Re the forward line criticism, even though the Eagles dominated the forward entries yesterday, they were pretty poor kicks. Having said that, we can't simply rely on big games from Wundke and McGregor ( and Ainger, who at last, played a better game). We have to get more from Hayes (too slow release of ball) and Sam Rowland (hasn't shown the kicking skills or footy smarts to be a damaging HF).

Hopefully, yesterday's game was just an aberration and not terminal. Also, perhaps useful to get a "wake-up call" than walk into the finals with a soft 10 goal win in the last game.

Im not being a good soldier and backing up the team . Those early misses were not good i was sitting near the northern goal they were not kicking the ball correctly excluding Aingers kick along the ground that was not an easy shot and we think the ball was taken over the point line before he tried to kick a goal .
Press yeah im not sure we think in the seconds he plays as a tall forward but he cant do that in the league .
Hayes couldnt control his marks up forward not sure why
We had issues up forward but ahead of that we seemed to be ok what the hell was up forward doing no idea
Perhaps the taller hayes should have played

I don't think the players went full bore yesterday, or particularly cared about the result. A couple of examples being - why would Wundke try a checkside in the first quarter from that position, shooting for goal? He's kicked drop punts for goal from much tighter angles than that. And Allmond going for a torp from a kick out. When was the last time you saw anyone do that?

The good was no injuries. About all.
The bad was our midfield was wacked. Maybe were in finals prep mode but you can not say we were not trying. The disposal and one on one was terrible.
The Fugly was the forward entry . They out marked us 93 to 67.
After all that.
Hopefully with 2 weeks off we regroup. West were hammered last year in their final game of the minor round and still won it.
