Good to see Allmond playing his first trial.

Is Jake Summerton playing this year? hasn't fronted up in the last 2 weeks.
Hope he hasn't given up - with his height and pace, able to play tall or small.

Also how is Todd Culley progressing with his recovery?

Be interesting tomorrow whether Angus Poole can follow up last week's excellent game as a small forward and occasional run on the ball. Another good game will give us confidence that he, along with Appleton, can lessen our midfield concerns. ( when added to Boyd, Lewis, Kane and Powell).

I'm also interested in seeing Huppatz in the ruck I think he did ok against the AFL listed ruckmen last week !!

Only a trial but 10 goals between Ainger and Wundke, good games from Hally & Boyd, Templeton looks good.

Eagles in their 2 trials playing a lot faster play-on football than last year, especially taking risks moving out of defence. Was good to test this system against the shut-down merchants Norwood. Our speed of movement stopped Norwood from stacking the defence except in the 3rd quarter and even though we couldn't score with 32 players in our forward lines, we didn't allow Norwood to score on the rebound which they were able to do last year.
Bornholm has stepped up another notch from last year. Still to me, doesn't look 197cm maybe 195cm but has some ticker.............and ability to go with it - maybe also leadership material.
Unsure of the standard of their opponents but Ainger and Wundke played "blinders".
Hope Grocke can get up for next week.
Noticed Allmond, in his first trial, only came on briefly in the 3rd quarter, laid 3 good tackles in 60 secs on the northern HB flank and shortly afterwards came off. Was he injured?

Good win for the Seconds, not because of the 2 Premiership points, but the their fast run-on style (like the Firsts). Like the look of young Mullins - a raw 198-199cm ruckman, balanced, good leap, moves well, good skills and whereas he's probably 2015 material, could develop over the next 15 weeks, bit more strength and you never know.

Allmond got a pretty hard tackle and head butted the grass when he got dumped, didn't look good when he came off but he was up and about after the game.
Borholm probably got half as many hit outs as his opponents last night did some good things around the ground.

The Norwood player who tackled Nuttsy got a 1 week suspension for rough conduct.
