when I have asked the higher ups at the club all I get is leader ship group not decided yet .So how knows

I would imagine Mark McKenzie wouldn't it.

The announcement of the leadership group for 2010 should be interesting. If macca doesn't captain I really don't know who would make a suitable replacement.

Jarrad and Rimington are the man two at training you hear

Jarrad I can understand, but Rimma? Didn't he play a bit in the reserves last year, and he played in the reserves in the trial match too.

Would have thought it was Macca's if he wanted to stay on. Great to hear Rimma is stepping up at training. Probably needs to consolidate in the league side before we can start talking captain material though.

Two loudest voices at training are Jarrad and Rimington along with a very deep Grieger .
Rimington has matured on the field over the last year.

But if it isnt Macca Jarrad would be the favourite.

I still think it should be McKenzie. If it's not him what about Powell or Treeby.

I'll try and answer best I can .when I queried some Eagles officials (who I wont name) they kept telling me the leadership group and captain etc will be named soon.
Not certain y they haven't named macca or anyone as captain yet.
Perhaps the coach wants a new leader.Perhaps Macca doesn't want to do it .
I have no idea
But he has been named in the leadership group according to an email last week.

Good To Hear Macca Is Captain again

It is good to see the quiet Luke Powell get the VC gig. He maybe a quiet guy but he leads by his sheer 'guts and determination' approach. Well deserved.

Just rec'd confirmation from the club -

Great news on Macca retaining the skippers tag. Certainly leads by example out on the field and sounds like he's get the respect of the playing group off it.
