Guess most of us will find out who the other new recruits are when the club lists players in the players auction thing in just over a fortnight which I'm attending it.

Found this
https://cdfc.com.au/newsitem/160
Recommended by our former 2000 premiership player Danny Stevens, Isaac joins us from the Albury FC after completing his first full season of senior football. Isaac played 2 games in 2021 whilst still being a student at North Albury’s Xavier High but became a regular in season 2022 winning the competitions Rising Star award.
McGrath 19, is an exciting midfielder able to play in the middle or as a wingman and he will run all day. Isaac’s ability to use the ball particularly well by either hand or foot will be a huge benefit to our club for seasons to come.

Re: Recruits for Season 2024
Blake Renet was an "add on" when Luke McKay came to the Eagles. Blake is a very good mate of Luke and has come along for the ride. I have watched him train, he is a strong, nuggety looking player, about 5'9'' and a neat left footer.
Isaac McGrath came over to SA in 2023 with his good friend Max Beattie, he went to Centrals and Max came to the Eagles. Isaac played 18 reserves games for Centrals last year without a league game. He didn't feel comfortable at Centrals so I believe Max got him to come to the Eagles. He is also studying at Flinders Uni. so it makes travelling a bit easier.
He is of slight build and about 5'10''.
My feeling is that the club has not made a big deal about them is because they might not be of league standard. We'll just have to wait and see. Both are training very well.
We were bitten a little last year with a couple of recruits not being up to standard.

I'll think you will find Jet is training with the SANFL Academy squad along with seven other Eagle boys. The academy boys don't often get to train with the Eagles. He is most probably included in the U18 list. The Eagles have most players (eight) in the academy squad of any club. Looks like our U18s will be reasonably strong this year.

Has he finished college or is he in his last year of college??

Re: Recruits for Season 2024
Watched training tonight.
Jack Boyd was running the boundary, short sprints, agility exercises. Looks to be 195cm, average weight for a CHF - not big enough to have an impact as a ruckman.
I spoke to Jordan Lukac; he says about 3 weeks before he's right. He was only doing boundary running, bike and some strength work. Sadly, no overhead marking.
Jarrad Redden is gradually increasing his work-load - doing many of the running exercises by himself but joining in on the ball work and his skills (ball handling, kicking, marking) look as good as ever. Sam Jacobs was competing against him in centre-bounces and they broke about even. Sam was giving instruction to 6 of the midfielders on take-away positioning to the rucks. Jarrad Redden is going to be very, important to the Eagles, especially early in the season without Brinker-Ritchie (injured), Lukac (unproven and also injured anyway), Ballenden (essential to keep him in the forward lines as much as possible) and Jack Boyd (may not be up to SANFL rucking). Redden has retained the skills to succeed but whether his fitness level (has lost a lot of weight) will be good enough to last for long spells on the ball remains the question.
In simulated match-play, Sam Nicholls impressed with his tricks around goal, agile sidestep, spin-turn, quick over 7 metres (not 20). Has to show he is not limited to only forward pocket unless you're a Stengle, Pickett or Rowe.

Re: Recruits for Season 2024
Good report, thanks Hawke.
Angus Poole will be playing for Lockleys this year after winning the premiership with Kadina. His mate VB has also quit Kadina and may play the odd game with Pooley. Maybe Goldy and Reddo can convince Pooley out of retirement too, that would be nice.
