Ok I’m seeing Centrals fans will welcome D Menzel back on Saturday . And are hyped that Troy is injured go figure.
Hopefully we don’t get killed in the midseason draft

Some interesting players named. Sharman, D. Menzel
Comma must be near selection.
Burgoyne in U18. Maybe we should try him in reserves.

I’ve wondered could Sharman play after being drafted
Haylock’s been getting better and better week after week this year

Re: Centrals v Eagles June 5 th
The club is looking to get permission to play Sharman as his departure to Victoria is up in the air (no pun intended) due to Covid.
Dan Menzel ???? or are you confusing with Troy (broken wrist).
Comma I think has to play more than one game back, but very pleased with the way he went last week.
Leave Burgoyne in the U18s, has no future with us, piked out on his team mates, let some one else more deserving have a reserves opportunity if there is one.

DOGS LEFT TO RUE LACK OF ACCURACY
WOODVILLE-West Torrens has recorded a solid 29-point win against a Dogs outfit lacking a bit of forward class, but not spirit, at Elizabeth Oval.
In a scrappy encounter – yet punctuated by several goal-ofthe-year contenders and physical spot-fires – the Eagles kept the Dogs at arm’s length for most of the match.
Central, which was building momentum midway through the third term, could have drawn within 10 points, but after a rushed shot on goal from Marcus Barreau, which sailed wide, it faded thereafter.
Dogs coach Paul Thomas said his team had to stand up stronger when the contest reached boiling point, having its chances to win against Adelaide and Norwood at home.
“You’ve got to hit targets when it counts, hit the goals when it counts,” Thomas said.
“We’ve missed at critical moments this year.”
Meanwhile, in another strong message to AFL recruiters, Tyson Stengle was once again electric, with two goals and some perfectly weighted passes to his fellow forwards, while Dane McFarlane broke lines with a game-high 25 touches and a major.
But Eagles forward Jake Von Bertouch stole the show early with a tremendous set shot from outside the boundary line.
The Eagles got the quick start in the second with Cooper Sharman, pinched by St Kilda in the mid-season draft during the week, roosting one from outside 50. The Dogs would get the quick reply – Aiden Grace repeating Von Bertouch’s dead-eye accuracy from almost the same spot – but the home side was cruelled by sloppy possession.
Despite Zane Williams converting, the Eagles failed to find the exclamation point on a dominant inside 50 count (14-7) for the term. Fortunately for the premiers, the cream eventually came with Stengle producing another goal of the year contender.
The former Tiger and Crow pounced on an errant defensive fist away, weaving through traffic to slot his first.
The mercurial Grace, from the outside of the boot from the pocket, once again matched a rival’s forward line finesse, and when Kyle Presbury was taken high and converted, the Dogs were coming.
But the Eagles eventually put their foot to the floor as Joseph Sinor, who also picked up 25 possessions, swung on to his left to provide the sealer.
Eagles coach Jade Sheedy said his back six defended well on the large Elizabeth Oval, but was set to miss Matt Goldsworthy for an extended break with a knee injury.

Is there a case to fit Jase Burgoyne into the league team. 37 disposals in the U18s and 4 matches for PA.

I’m not sure Poole is in next week Knight ankle could be an issue so Burgoyne could get a call up

Re: Centrals v Eagles June 5 th
The only surprise with that report was that it took that long for it to happen, he was a ticking time bomb all afternoon after he got up ended in the first quarter.
Loved how Luke Beecken got over to Hoskin after he kicked it inside 50, you cant see that on the video.

Beecken is developing very nicely. Love the way he goes about his football. Has been developed extremely well by the club.

How is that only 3 weeks? Especially if Williams is seriously injured. Should be at least 7 weeks.

Re: Centrals v Eagles June 5 th
I reckon 6 weeks in the AFL!!!
Why get a discount for an early plead of guilty, it was a dog act and would never have got off if he contested it.
May be discounts for accidental highs or similar but NO discounts for deliberate mongrel acts.
Also if a player has already been suspended during the season he shouldn't get the luxury of a discount for an early guilty plea.
