Satler, Guilhaus and Vince will be a boost this week. What happened to James Stewart?

Losing James Stewart at the last training was almost as big a loss as Salter, Jimmy hasn't been out of our best 3 players in his comeback matches and gives a lot of run from our backlines. Not only does the hammy injury cost us again against Centrals but it also slows down his graduation to the midfield as he was (till the recurrence of the hammy) picking up fitness.
Appears that our best 25 is as good as most Clubs but falls away after that. Still concede this week and to go 5 wins 3 losses isn't bad so long as we regroup.

Unfortuntely, Jimmy has a history of hamstrings, doubt whether he would come up for this Saturday, but we can only hope.
Training Wednesday night will be interesting.

Jimmy is a big loss, particularly when we are playing on the big doggie park this week and need some pacey players. Perhaps Rimmo will step up - he has played a couple of solid games in the twos. It will certainly help to have the services of Salts, Bernie and big Seb back on the park.

Agree with you Flash re Jimmy his pace this week would be very useful.
Definitely time for Rima to be recalled.
According to today's Advertiser - Andrew Capel, the Power may promote Salts & drop Schulz.

Be surprised if Nick Salter is taken by the Power for Schulz- Rhodes has already said that they don't regard Nick as a key forward (too short). However North Adelaide's 199cm Stewart is in their consideration, so we might have Salter AND Schultz (be handy)

Centre-line of Powell Vince Jarrad also looks handy.

Looks like Bernie may not be with us now, apparently injured a knee at training at Rostrevor this morning. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/suspended-crow-cut-down-again/story-e6frecrl-1225868659126

They have now changed the article to say its his ankle that is injured, and if he isnt fit he will serve his suspension when he is fit, so guess we will still see him...just maybe not this week.

Bernie Vince may recover from his ankle injury on the same week that the Eagles have a Bye so he'll play for another Club's Seconds and we may not see him at all

Golden opportunity lost today.Guilhaus not a league player. If you cannot kick or do not want to kick then you are not up to it.Welsh magnificent.Showed a few of our blokes what DESPERATION is today.Lewis also played extremely well.Salter and Banner need to look into a mirror and PERFORM at this level.Centre clearances much cleaner today but our DEFENSIVE action requires a lot of work. Our zone from kick outs just does not work!
Coach has to take responsibilty for our gameplan and in the last two weeks Glenelg and Centrals have hurt us big time in run on patches where they have both scored heavily in quick time.Sorry Mr Godden but sometimes you just have to go defensive and shut the game down for a time when these situations inevitably occur.
Personally I dont think too many changes to personell are required, but certainly to leaking game plan.
This is a proud club Mr. Godden and adopting an open running style like North,Sturt and Glenelg have over the the last few years will NOT beat Central District.
Having said that better this happening in Round 8 than Round 18.

We've beaten them once when it has mattered you fool. We're 5 and 3 and have performed to expectation so far this season. Where other Clubs have taken a backward step when a new coach comes in we haven't. We were a chance to win today and at least 5 players that I can think of didn't perform at all - that's why we didn't win today, not because of a perceived flaw in our game plan. Get off of your high horse, talking of a 'proud club' and 'Mr Godden' as if you are anyone that should be listened to.

The expected result I am afraid to say .
Not the game plan IMHO.Lack of responsibility or ability by some of the guys not all of them just SANFL players either.
But the good thing was the team fought back and didnt lay down and take it .
Seems the team lacks something with Grocke at chf .

Think we saw today and last week that the game plan works against all teams......if the players follow it. For the amount of time that we didn't play well today we probably didnt deserve to win...but we were a silly chance ealry in the last, some little lapses in concentration and more critcially discipline (not just with giving away careless free kicks) cos us big time today.
Salts has had a couple of off games now, but who knows what sort of training pattern Port are putting him through, fair chance it would be different to what the rest of the team might be doing. Mitch still finding is way, as it Thompson, both too good to be playing reserves IMO, but need to be more consistent at league level to really cement their spots.
Macca worries me a bit at the moment, rate him as one of the most versatile players in the league but seems he really hasnt hit his stride this season...but having said that its a marathon not a sprint. Treebs hasn't had a good year, compounded further by injury today, Seb seemed a bit lost today but had a much different role to his previous game, might take a bit of adjustment for him.

The one glaring weakness that continues to stand out for the Eagles is the lack of a good fast "break-through-the lines" rover since 2006 To give the Club credit this year, they mostly recruited well in Parry, Welsh,Lewis and James Stewart and accept that there may not have been any money left in the kitty. But we've had 4 years to fix it up since the loss of Skipworth, Cooper, Colville and Lomas - surely, it's got to be a priority for next season. To see Callinan, Ezard, Crane, Allan & Archard, Clayton, Liddle. Ty Allan etc running over us each week with their pace and skills is disappointing. There is nothing in the Seconds developing so we got to BUY. (Acknowledge that Goldsworthy is developing into a fine small forward who can also have an occasional run on the ball but he hasn't got that breakaway pace and James Stewart will be handy though not in the class of the above-mentioned).
Hope Dale Grocke, as a member of the leadership group, learns that his irresponsible actions have severely hurt the club and musn't happen again.

You are the fool Carrots, against the two best teams in the comp our new game plan leaks when these classier teams get run ons.I am not saying for one minute throw the game plan out but make ADJUSTMENTS .I am entitled to my opinion and if you want to live in denial so be it.
Centrals were vulnerable yesterday,no Schell,Nash,Cochrane,Havelberg,O'Sullivan,Jenner and played three who had not played a game this year and we played close to our best team!As I said before its early days.
