Good to see the club bringing along Lachy Hoile and Luke Beecken nice and slowly. They both remind me a lot of how Jacob Wehr was introduced to the league team. Let them develop nice and slowly. Hoile was given a nice little run in the league team yesterday after being pulled from the reserves. It looks like the coach has ear marked Beecken as a half back flanker, he has been doing some great work there in the reserves. Developing the youngsters properly gives them a long term future. Along with Ben Jungfer and Zane Williams these two youngsters are starting to form a formidable group.

Re: Eagles v Adelaide
Our third and final trial saw us take on The Adelaide Crows as they make their return into the SANFL league in 2021. It was a great start with plenty of pressure and our ability to win the ball around stoppage seen us get some good entries into our forward 1 on 1, with Jake Von Bertouch taking a series of marks early on and looking dangerous.
Throughout the game, injuries to Matthew Goldsworthy and Seb Kerrish saw us bring up Lachie Hoile for his first taste of league footy, and 2020 debutant Ben Jungfer.
Second and third quarter saw us continue our running game, with some great highlights with ball movement going coast to coast, with Daniel Menzel looking dangerous up forward 1 on 1.
Our final quarter saw Adelaide Crows take momentum through their ball movement, allowing them to score at times too easy. We have now played 3 trials against good opposition and finding the right mix to take into our Round 1.
We look forward to Round 1 against Sturt and hope to see all of our supporters on Good Friday as we unveil our Premiership Flag.
