That would be a classic at Woodville against North. The SANFL would love it for the Publicity. With North already down 4 points, a loss here would not go down well.
Good Friday is a sacred day to me. Ill watch it on the web.

Just got a message from a friend, Jordan Foote will arrive next week to play for the Eagles. Was chased very hard by Roy Laird.

If we have Foote, its been a good recruiting period. Add some of the U18's and things are looking good.

At the start of the 2018 the Eagles were looking at recruiting from four possible delisted AFL players for 2019......Cam E-Yolmen, Cam Sutcliffe, Jimmy T. and Malcolm Karpany and processes were put in place to make sure we could accommodate some/all of them.
To end up with Jimmy T., Jesse Lonergan and Jordan Foote seems a pretty good result overall. A few we couldn't snare but a couple of unexpected gains.

And Sutcliffe was taken out of our hands really.
Hannath is still a chance I believe.

My thoughts if we sign Hannath does that free West up to be a big forward .
Iirc he was a big forward in the NEAFL NEFL whatever it's called

I'm a bit late with this one guys sorry was working
Fourth generation wow

Woodville-West Torrens' home ground will now be known as Maughan Thiem Kia Oval as loyal naming rights sponsor Maughan Thiem has extended its partnership with the Club until the end of 2020, a partnership beginning in 2013.
Eagles CEO Luke Powell said the Club was delighted to continue its relationship with Maughan Thiem, with the state of the art Maughan Thiem Kia Store opening in Cheltenham in August this year, just a few kilometres from Oval avenue.
''The Woodville West Torrens Football Club feels privileged to continue our strong and prosperous relationship with the Maughan Thiem Auto Group. Daniel Thomas and his team have been outstanding supporters of our Club for a long time. We are thrilled to have our home ground called Maughan Thiem Kia Oval for the next two years, while in the process promoting such a wonderful South Australian brand,'' Powell said.
Maughan Thiem Auto Group CEO Daniel Thomas said, “We are proud to continue the partnership for a further two years with the Eagles. Our team is committed to stand by our company trademarks as we strive to be “pillars of the community” and this sponsorship is one way we can commit to this statement."
"We also see the new age of the Eagles commencing with the appointment of the new senior coach Sam Lonergan as an opportune time to brand the oval with another one of our trusted motor brands, KIA. KIA is the fastest growing vehicle brand in Australia and is enjoying significant growth with its class leading 7-year warranty on all new KIA vehicles. I’d like to thank Luke Powell and Matthew Goldsworthy as they continue to showcase our company to their partners and members. From the entire Maughan Thiem team we wish the entire Club the ultimate success in season 2019,” said Thomas.

The Club is also excited to announce the signing of another promising player in former Sydney Swans Academy graduate Jordan Foote.
Measuring in at 184cm and 81kg, the 22-year-old will join former Gold Coast Sun Jesse Lonergan in adding plenty of midfield grunt at the stoppages for new coach Sam Lonergan next season.
''We are delighted to have Jordan sign with the Eagles. We have been keeping a very close eye on Jordan over time as he will become a fourth-generation player with the Club dating back to his great grandfather playing for West Torrens. Jordan will add a lot of strength, class and speed through our midfield both inside and out. We believe Jordan is very suited to the SANFL competition and we are excited to have such an outstanding character at the Eagles to complement our playing group,'' Powell said of Foote, who played six AFL games for the Swans in 2016 and 2017.
Foote's recruitment adds to the signatures of Lonergan, 2011 premiership player Jimmy Toumpas, Launceston youngster Jamieson House and former Richmond forward Ben Nason.

I read somewhere that Jordan was being groomed to take over from Tom Mitchell when he left the Swans but he never made the grade. But this to me suggests he has a bit of ability.

Well I hadn't seen that but we need that to help the club .

Next question are we hunting a big man
Have we signed Hannath from Centrals
If not is our ruck Redden and West

Very promising off-season with some real depth in the midfield. Is there someone who could hold down a key defensive post? I’d like to see Von Bertouch up forward with the Hayes brothers. Or Redden could play more forward if West is capable of rucking. Or we could play smaller and more midfield rotations.

For me Aerie I think the Eagles need one more big man.
Whether they are getting another one or bringing up the under 18 ruckman I don't have a clue .

Saying that I'm totally happy new coach new players looking good .

Eagles still chasing a big, hope something will come out soon.
"Aerie", I have been giving a lot of thought to von Bertouch playing up forward, definitely need more fire power, but hard to find another tall to play in defence. We just don't grow them tall or quick in Eagle land.

There was talk on Facebook about Seb leaving . And it came up he was playing football in the NT.
That raises the question does that mean he's served his suspension up there .
