The Woodville West Torrens Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jesse Lonergan.
Coming off the back of Jimmy Toumpas confirming his Oval Avenue return last week, Jesse Lonergan is set to play under the guidance of his uncle Sam Lonergan.
Measuring in at 184cm and 91kg, Jesse featured in 60 AFL games for the Gold Coast Suns after being selected at Pick No.13 in the 2012 AFL National Draft. Originally from Tasmania, Jesse arrived in Adelaide for the first time yesterday and threw himself straight into training, taking part in the 2km time trial.
On Jesse's signing coach Sam Lonergan said, "It's great to be able to work with Jesse in a football capacity. He will be a great addition to the Club. His work rate and appetite to compete will help set standards and drive to the team towards the ultimate success."
The Club is also pleased to announce the signing of ex-Richmond forward Ben Nason, 28, who has also crossed over to play for the Eagles in 2019, having previously played for Central District and Glenelg.
Nason, who measures in at 179cm and 80kg, knows the new Eagles mentor well as he played with Sam Lonergan at the Bays before moving back to the Bulldogs.

Just saw on talking football that Karpany is south bound. I would have preferred him to Toumpas. I hope Jimmy proves me wrong.

Karpany to South, Sutcliffe to Port = $50k to the Eagles... is that correct? $25k transfer fee for each as I understand it.

House is built like a brick s..thouse. Plays up forward and on the ball. Was considered a bit unlucky to not be drafted.

Hopefully we will that will be the second player we've signed from Tassie so far

Is there anyone out in Eagles Land that has any knowledge of players that might be available from our zone. I've watched a few games in the GSFL and a few senior players there I am sure would play SANFL. Do we as a club try to entice players out(other than juniors). I recall in the old days country recruits were the norm.

The WWTFC is pleased to announce the signing of another Tasmanian product, 18 year old Jamieson House.
Jamieson, from Wynyard, spent the 2018 season at the Launceston Football Club under the guidance of new Eagles coach Sam Lonergan. He was also a member of the Tasmanian State Under 18's side. Jamieson joined his new teammates for pre-season on Monday and will be in Adelaide for the next two weeks before heading back to Wynyard to prepare to relocate to Adelaide in the new year.
On Jamieson’s signing Senior Coach Sam Lonergan said, “We’re excited to have Jamieson at the Club. He’s a fantastic young man with strong team and personal values. I’m proud to see Jamieson join us from far northwest Tasmania to continue growing and challenging himself as a person and footballer.”

Port no longer have a team in the seconds where do they play if all the afl players play .
Matt Appleton didn't really make it at North
Mitchell Mead is he the older of the two brothers he was taken last year iirc.
