If you have any Kids bring them to the Southern Goals by 1.40pm so they can take part in the parade.

Wow 7 goals down and Stewart off one player down and we won
Woohoo love a win
But we were totally out of it until the third
Hayes took over the ruck

Still struggling to comprehend what happened today, great resilience by the group.

Goddy not sure what changed when Stewart left hurt
Goldsworthy back helped in front of me he did some great smothers
Others did to
The size difference hurt the Eagles little jake trying to mark over his giant backman didn't help
Also I think the crows being giants hurt them as much as helped them imho

Re: Round 17: Eagles v Adelaide - Sunday 20 August @ Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval
DID NOT SEE THAT SECOND HALF COMING. I was ready to do a Noarlunga and leave at three quarter time.
Our game is based on going in hard, winning the ball and then run in numbers. We appeared to be overawed in the first half. Jack Haye's rucking at the start of the last quarter seemed to start it off. The last quarter from Jake Johansen would be the best quarter he has played for us. The coach said at presentations he played him at CHF as he knew Adelaide wouldn't pay any attention to him.
It can now be said that last week 9 of our players played with a virus, most of the training staff had it as well as some of the admin. staff. This might be an excuse or a let off for them, but this week against centrals will really show where we are at.
Spoke to Jarred Allmond last night said he wanted to play on Sunday but coach said "no". Expects to play this week. As mentioned above Paul S. has a broken finger.
Seeing we can't be knocked off top spot, could we see a smokey in Jack Lukious play, if Stewart and Allmond don't play. He is in sensational form and a class act. I watched him kick 6-2 and have 15 hit outs in the U18s. At 6'4'' can play both forward and back.
Thank goodness we will have him for a season next year.
Club's Best Players:
Vs South Vs Adelaide
1) J. Sinor J Petrenko
2) L. Thompson J Boyd
3) P. Stewart J Johansen
4) C. Hall S Lewis
5) J. Johansen M Wundke
6) L Thompson
It should be an interesting race for the B&F as several of the favourites have missed games (Petrenko 7, Boyd 3, Allmond 4, Goldsworthy 3). The winner could come from one of the following who have not missed a game so far, they are Sinor, Hall, Lewis and Johansen.

"Spellcheck" how about a few stats from Sunday, were there any unique for the Eagles?
Also, could you check if this is the first time a true SANFL club has won 4 from 4 versus the AFL clubs. Would appreciate.

What's the current Stanley H Memorial ladder standings going into the last round? Our Reserves would've dragged us down but interested to know if we're in the running.

Really an unbelievable result after 4 minutes into the third term. Classic straight kicking by master full forward Michael Wundke when it counted and from mainly difficult angle certainly help and I agree Johansen has turned out to be a prize recruit. I hope Lukosius gets a go in the League. He might be a match winner

Mara32 - At the moment Eagles are on 2,300 pts. Sturt are next on 2,050 pts. As Sturt can only get a maximum of 200 pts next week, the Eagles have already won the Stanley H. trophy.

Thanks Wimpy... yet another honor in 3 years of dominance, but missing the main one we want.
What a great club though... hope we get the reward we deserve.

Really love what the club is doing in regard to their juniors. Putting a lot of time and effort into setting up our club for the future.
We just have to get more depth.
Spoke to some of the club's hierarchy on the weekend and they are very happy with the way the club is tracking. Chris Branson has to take a lot of credit for this, has turned around 722 and the Eagles Club. Hope we don't have trouble holding him.
Apparently the club is way ahead of budget at this stage.
