Godden signs on

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club is delighted to announce that Senior Coach, Michael Godden has agreed and signed a contract extension for a further two years, which will take his tenure until the end of Season 2019.

After brief negotiations, the Club is excited to have Michael continue to oversee the successful programs in place and development of the playing group. Michael, one of the premier coaches in the State has reaffirmed his commitment to the Club and we look forward to Michael portraying his great pride and enthusiasm in his coaching and the Club, to continue the push for excellence.

On Michael signing an extension, General Manger of Football Luke Powell said “It is fantastic to have Michael reaffirm his commitment to the Club and we are excited to see what the future will bring under Michael’s tenure. Michael will at the end of 2019, have coached this Club for 10 years which is a remarkable achievement, but what it shows is his outstanding character, ability and skill as a head coach to continually rejuvenate a playing list consistently, adapt and mould his game plan and style as football continues to evolve and that shows a sign of a great coach, mentor and developer of players. Michael knows what he and our Club expects in terms of results and he works harder and pushes the boundaries more than anyone in our organisation to achieve this. We are thrilled Michael, wife Trish and children Jacob, Mikayla and Emma will continue to be a special part of our Club”
