Only Boyd was reported...that must send a message out to say those tactics were above board

gree. Press and Lewis likely replacements for next week, hopefully, Macca back for our first final.
All these happenings has covered over another big problem - Andrew Ainger's poor form. He could have been in danger of losing his spot to Jack Hayes but now that we've lost McGregor and Boyd, Ainger is safe since selectors would not want to make yet another change. Does 2-3 spectacular marks per game but will have to show a much stronger effort if we're to go top.

One thing not covered - how much they won the ball out of the centre...that's what happened in last years GF; for this to happen against a non participating finals side (Sawford with 12 clearances) might be a concern? I may add that often we were to get the fall of the ball in the centre and immediately would get tackled, then the ball would spill to them.

I always get shot down on here but here goes. Wundke is a liability. He is a great mark and an excellent kick but if he does not mark it the ball, it is guaranteed a lost ball. I shuddered a few times on Sunday when he ghosted into the backlines and could barely raise a gallop chasing his player. He took so long to track back to full forward. Don't get me wrong as I love him kicking goals but he does not get enough of the ball. At least AA has the flexibility to play multiple positions. Our strength is we have multiple scoring option in the forward and rebounding backmen.

Whow! this is a big one. Why challenge if he is out injured.
Woodville-West Torrens midfielder James Boyd will challenge a one-match ban with an early guilty plea for striking Glenelg’s Josh Woodall at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Sunday.
The SANFL Incident Review Panel deemed Boyd’s conduct was intentional and that he made contact to Woodall’s body which was of low impact.
Boyd risks a 2 match ban, due to a bad record, if he is unsuccessful at the SANFL Tribunal from 6pm on Tuesday.
JAMES BOYD (EAGLES) – STRIKING
Conduct: Intentional
Impact: Low
Contact: Body
Penalty (Bad Record Loading): 2 matches
Early Guilty Plea: 1 match

Good point. I thought maybe he may have had a few suspensions like our ruckman a few years back and facing a life ban. Just guessing though. Had a colourful career at South and Centrals.

Probably if its good new regarding the injuries they have Boyd 4-6 weeks and Lauchie 2-3 weeks. We need them both. We have some good lads in the B's that may step up. I remember names like Paul Stewart, Bernie Vince and Jimmy Toumpas coming through as unknowns in past years.
Looking forward anxiously to the Final and a Premiership.

Anxious is a good word at present. There is no way Boyd will come up for a final unfortunately, he will be a target to get crunched immediately if he took the field. I am confident that we will cover him adequately this year, just need to get through Norwood without incident this week.

Simply the aim of the game is to kick the ball through those two big sticks. Those that forget that will always be the losers;)
