Re: Club Champion 2015
Yes well done to the club and players for the various awards. I attend most of the functions including the Club Champion evening this year. It was probably a hard gig having lost the grand final but it was a flat, boring and ''cheap'' evening. This occurs every time this event is not held at our club, I question that the extra numbers involved outweighs catering for this show elsewhere. I am always happy to pay a bit more for these events given we are supporting our club and topping up for the number of volunteers who deserve to attend as a reward. The venue will have provided what the club organised but cordial glasses for beer, cheapest wine, ordinary but just ok food, no desert, no tea and coffee for $120.00 was quite a let down and my guests were very disappointed. Of course a league premiership would have masked everything and I would have gladly drank ''Geelong Light'' beer but were we the only ones left empty on the night. I also attended our 25 year event in May and that was 10/10 and that one needed to be elsewhere.
