Haha
Well, we have another box to tick this week. If we win, it will be the first time we have been undefeated against North in a season since 2003.

EAGLES
Woodville-West Torrens coach Michael Godden has resisted the temptation to inject James Boyd into the league team for Saturday’s match against North at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval.
Instead, the star midfielder will line-up in the Reserves considering he hasn’t played since injuring his groin against Adelaide in Round 10.
Running defender Matthew Goldsworthy will return from a hamstring strain at league level while Giles Ellis, Caleb Lloyd, Fraser Thurlow and Joe Sinor have all been added to the 23-man squad.
Godden has surprisingly named stars such as Angus Rowntree, Chris Hall and Scott Lewis on the extended interchange bench with some players potentially being rested now the Eagles have secured the minor premiership.
Goalsneak Lachlan McGregor will miss at least one match with a groin strain while co-captain Luke Thompson will also be sidelined with a foot complaint.
Key defender Jacob Templeton was sent back to the Reserves.

Now you've got that post quoted I can't sneakily change it to 2009. I was wrong, it was 3-0 in 2009

A win is a win .
Players rested and played out of position but we won .
All three grades have now finished as minor premiers !!
And the maccas cup MVP was an Eagle from the Port districts football club . interesting from our new zone

Re: Eagles V Roosters maughan thiem hyundai oval 22 august
Giles Ellis put in a big performance for ? first game. (looked good in the Seconds last year but wasn't looking anything special, in the 2s, this year..........till yesterday's promotion, so "well done" to the selectors. Has legs like match-sticks but speed to burn to go with his 188cm and reads the game well off HB line. Now, it would be a bonus if he could play HF flank as well as he played HB since Goldsworthy and Jarrad will take the HB flanks. Without McGregor yesterday, we lacked that defensive speed up forward.
Whereas our defence is good, we're finding it difficult to ever kick 15 goals which makes us vulnerable to teams like West Adelaide who get the 7 goal "run-ons".
Boyd's game in the Seconds yesterday was only average so we will be promoting him next week on a promise - it worked in the case of Giles Ellis.
