Woodville-West Torrens has added a consistent pair of midfielders to its 23-man squad to face South at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Saturday.
Reserves ball magnets Joe Sinor and Matt Appleton have been added to the hosts’ five-man interchange bench, which must be trimmed by two before the bounce.
The duo collected 51 disposals between them in the club’s Reserves victory against Glenelg last Sunday, prompting recognition from senior coach Michael Godden.
Former Magpies defender Aseri Raikiwasa has been named at full-forward for the Reserves.

Hopefully, it's nothing more than someone omitting to update the injury list.

After ruckman Seb Guilhaus and then ruckman Hoban quitting the Eagles in previous seasons, as an Eagle's. supporter it's easy to feel uneasy.

Thanks Mara. It wasn't listed when I looked last evening, so that's a relief.
Despite his poor form with us so far, some of our finals hopes rest on having 2 ruckmen, one the size of Thurlow.
Is the Footy Budget correct in listing him as only 23 years of age? His performance against Parry and Brooksby in a Q vs SA match 2 years ago shows he can play, plus Essendon's opinion of him to list him last season (albeit to delist him also).

Yeah I reckon he's an important cog for finals... i'm sure he'll be back.

Yeah Eagles have him listed as 22 years old (probably turned 23 since the start of the season)... so still relatively young for a ruckman - it would be nice to have Parry around the place mentoring him, rather than being at North Adelaide.

Need one more win for the minor premiership now, safe to say yesterday got real tight with South coming home like they did against Norwood. It was always going to happen after yet another top opening by us.

That chase by Martyn in the last quarter was gutsy to win a free...though Irra was a victim of the way the game is played with nothing up ahead to kick to.

Also, this round seals the Stanley H. Lewis trophy; there's only 550 points Norwood can claim from here on and are 700 behind.

Yep, that's our 4th Stanley H. Lewis trophy (1993, 2000, 2013, 2015)... only 1 of the previous 3 have been converted into a League Premiership... hopefully number 2 is coming up.

There's a monetary prize that goes with the trophy as well. Anyone know how much? (It use to be in the vicinity of $10,000).

I don't think there is any money involved anymore... I know there wasn't in 2013... May have changed again since then.

Noticed on the injury list that Boyd is one week away so assume that means he will be back for the next game against the Crows... think they should rest him up to make sure he's ready to go for the finals maybe give him one or two games...our midfield has struggled a bit without him of late

Agree. Boyd carried his groin injury through most of season  2014 and obviously has a "permanent" weakness needing careful management. Juggling act getting enough game time and fitness without aggravating the injury. May only get  2-3 games from him before it goes again and therein runs a problem - you would want some assurance of at least 2-3 games going into the grand final that he is not going to break down on GF day. As a fit in-form rover, there is not any better rover in the SANFL but sadly. the Eagles haven't seen his best form. We certainly need him because, at present, we are depending heavily on Rowntree and Petrenko when most good teams have 3-4 "top" midfielders firing.
Ironically, because our Seconds are so good and likely to only play one final before the GF, it doesn't give any League player coming back from injury/or Seconds player pushing his claim for a spot, as much of an opportunity as if our Seconds had 3 finals games (maybe we should tank the Seconds 2nd semifinal, ha ha)
