A few possible injuries to cover this week... Petrenko and Thommo in doubt, Whittlesea out for 2, and Wundke won't play til after State Game.
VB, Allmond, Appleton, Templeton are all possibilities... and yes, hopefully Thurlow.

Also think Joe Sinor might be in contention with at least two 30+ possession games in the reserves after recovering from a broken collar bone.
Would like to see Thurlow have another run in the reserves but the injury to Whittlesea might hasten his promotion.

Joey's game in the two's Saturday was outstanding, one of the more experienced guys out there his workrate was huge, really set the example for the younger blokes.

With four interchange named and three named in the reserves it looks like Thompson could be out injured - especially as VB is named on the interchange. Would like to see a team placing of:
Hayes Thurlow Poole
McGregor Ainger Hall
Martyn Rowntree Batley
Jarrad Von Bertouch Raymond
Giuffreda Raikiwasa G'worthy
Borholm Schwarz
Lewis Allmond
Boyd Dunstan
Hayes Thurlow Poole
McGregor Ainger Hall
Martyn Rowntree Batley
Jarrad Von Bertouch Raymond
Giuffreda Raikiwasa G'worthy
Borholm Schwarz
Lewis Allmond
Boyd Dunstan

7 goal win away, think you'd take that any day.
Sammy Martyn fantastic today, his run was outstanding esp before half time when he had 22 touches.
Angus Rowntree getting better every game.
Boyd and Lewis solid again
Bomber and Fraser showed they could become quite dangerous as the year goes on.

Love the way Sam Martyn is coming along. Some of his gut running was sensational.
Raikiwasa is gradually showing what he can do. Like the way he never panics.
Still think there is a lot of improvement in the team to come yet.

Out of curiosity, who is the athletic indigenous, 20 -25 year old dreadlock guy in Eagles shirt standing out with the player's huddles? (Presume it's not Tim Sumner who kicked 4 goals for Imperials on Saturday).
Good to see Fraser Thurlow jump clear above the North ruckman at centrebounces, something we haven't seen for a couple of years. So much so that our midfielders were taken by surprise and North sharked the ball on occasions. As the midfielders get use to Thurlow's tap-work, centrebouces/ballups should become an even greater strength for the Eagles.

Agree with you Wimpy re Sam Martyn & Raikiwasa, also look forward to seeing Fraser Thurlow's work in the coming weeks. At last some assistance for Bomber.

Martyn kicked the ball with the inside of his boot perfect pass to a forward who kicked the goal .
Can see him getting better and better as the year goes along

Re: Eagles v North round 7 prospect sunday 2.10
There's two defining moments of the game:
1) With the scores 5.2 to 5.4 our way, they should have had a gimme goal which was spolit by desperate defence by Goldsworthy and someone else (who I can't remember rushed it through). We then went coast to coast and ran into an open goal. North didn't score a goal from then until time on in the last.
2) Straddling three quarter time, North had seven consecutive scores. All of them behinds - four to Shillabeer. Three before 3QT then four after 3QT. Then we proceed to kick four goals in 5 1/2 minutes which sealed the deal.

It would be great to be telecast once in a while. Nothing better than going home after a win to watch the recording.

Sounds like that could be ex player Jared Cattermole who is assistant coach with the ressies, Timmy has short hair from memory.
