Eagles V West Adelaide Trial 20th march 2010

Lets start this thread for the trial game .

Should be there for the league game, then go to the Wrestling.

After Westies win against the Blues, next week's game could be a good hit-out before the season proper. Players that have impressed me so far during pre-season include: Corbett, Hill, Roundtree, Jarrad, Miles and Cicca. Can't wait to play the warfies. Go Eagles

IMHO Cica is the heart and soul of that side .No cica against dogs no Eagles.
Young Thompson Heard Cica' voice friday night and learnt something.

I am hoping Eagles will have some small forwards to work with the talls .

Yes, Cica's voice & leadership is definitely an asset. Hopefully Travis Lane
will be available. He didn't play in 1/2 internal last Friday spent time on the bike.
Wednesday night training will be interesting. Hopefully we will get an idea of who we might have available for selection.

The juniors trial against West is on Sunday @ Richmond Oval. 11.40 start.

I would like to see the attacking game this week like against South( after 1/2 time).Perhaps as the season is so close "GODS" will pick a much more competitive team.
And fingers crossed this Wednesday's training is better than the Wednesday's training pre Centrals trial!!.

We will need to get confirmation on times of this trial.
Being reported its a triple header anyone from the club ?

Can confirm tripled header on Saturday against Westies starting with under 18's @ 9am followed by 2's & league.

My thoughts on this trial game.
First half I thought the game was the most intense trial game I had ever seen.Was pointed out by someone who shall remain nameless that wests game style was making the game awful to watch.Yes 18 west players flooding!!
Outstanding players imho Stuart Hill Mat Goldsworthy found some form Luke jarrad was in and out the game .
Our Rucks in Seb and Hoops were outstanding and u can see a certain ruck coaches influence in their style .
After half time Eagles seemed to grow a great amount in confidence and took the game away from west.West did come back in the final but it was all over by then.
Was also great to watch the seconds have a win well done guys.

Ordinary football in the first half, highlighted by Cica chesting up to Willits after he seemed to go on a spree trying to take out several Eagles players. Our skills appeared better than Westies in the seocond half. Seb and Hoops were able to consistently get their hands to the ball first only to see Westies clear it from the centre. Lots of work needed in this area. Hill and Goldy were impressive, Treeby, Powell and Groecke were serviceable. I would like to see Corbett fit into the league team for our game against the maggies.

Corbett may be on the injured list after the seconds trial.
IMHO Hill took over doing the normal Groecke roll.One goal Goldy scored was down to Hill throwing himself into a pack head first and getting the ball out.
And yep cica stood up to Willest funny how West fell to there own trick after that
