Might also have to cover Andrew Ainger depending on results of scan on collarbone.
Matty Appleton was back at club after game with large plaster on his forehead.
Watching Recovery Session he comes down very heavy on his back. The hit on the forehead came from the boot of a South ruckman - accidental.

So much so, I'm willing to give:
$50 to the player of the year award on top of my donation if the League wins
$25 if the Reserves win
$15 if the Under 18s win

Salter against South in the last Q repeated his effort at Alberton 2 years ago and won the last 4 clearances -without a motor he could start Centre and move immediately forward with each centre bounce.

Hope our recruiters have already got their sights on 2 readymade midfielder recruits for 2014, with Rowntree and Powell gone and only an overweight Lewis remaining of the established midfielders.

The league game will be a tough one given that North lost to Sturt, well so did we.
Reserves well we're on top so we'll win that.
U18s it's 1st v 2nd so that we'll be a 50/50 game and given that it's at home, I'm giving the game to us, win by lots it will be possible that we get back on top.

Ainger is no loss - has not had a kick against a decent opponent all year - $48k per year plus transfer fee, and we can't even squeeze him in our top 10 of our best player award.

don't think we have the depth to get the Roosters after two pretty soft weeks of late

And yes, I am taking out the League flag offer, because you won't need that much for an award anyway! Razz It's not like Norwood isn't going to lose the flag Wink

Anyway, back to the match. Surely goal of the year has to go to that incredible bit of play by that man Goldsworthy - what is he going to do next against North?

To take a mark running with the flight of the ball, then do a turn when he hits the ground, takes a few steps and kicks a checkside goal just is simply stunning and while I'm not placing any bets on this one Razz nothing will beat that. If only he had a few more outstanding games during the year, we may well have had our first Magarey Medailst.
