No midfield depth, look at the good teams and they all have good midfields. Under Fuller this is something we always had, this would have to be one of our sadest midfields in ten years.
I fear this year will be a repeat of last year, except we will fall short of the finals. Looking at another slow start, can see us really struggling to beat Sturt this week.
With all the midfield experience we have lost, what do we do, we go and get a CHF. I would have preferred 2 tough midfielders and developed Fitzgerald as the 3rd tall. At least getting a couple of midfielders would have given Poole,Appleton etc time to adjust and develop this year instead of throwing them in the deep end. I think the club is using this year as rebuilding but don't want to say it.
I think the recruiting under Godden has been very hit and miss.
