EAGLES SIGN RUCKMAN MARC BORHOLM

The WWTFC is pleased to announce the signing of Ruckman Marc Borholm from West Adelaide. Borholm, 23, joins the Club after playing 6 League games at West Adelaide.

On the signing Football Manager Trent Hentschel said “The ruck is an area we needed to sure up a bit and we believe Marc does that for us. Marc’s super competitive and has a real desire to play regular League footy so he’s a good fit for us”.

At 24 next year,197cm and 98kgs Bomber's best football lies ahead of him. He is a definate lead up player, the put it out of bounds game plan of his previous club made it hard for him to cement a spot. As big guys can take a while to come on, with encouragement and the right people in his ear a break out year by Bomber will be something well worth seeing and thankfully it'll be with us!!

The WWTFC is pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Sam Martyn. Martyn, 20, has spent the past 2 years at the Adelaide Football Club after being selected by the Crows in the 2010 AFL Rookie draft.

On the signing Football Manager Trent Hentschel said "It’s unfortunate for Sam that he wasn’t given another contract by Adelaide but he’s a quality young man who we know works extremely hard. He has elite endurance and the ability to break lines so to have him at the Eagles on a permanent basis to continue his development is a big plus for the Club."

The Club is also pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Bruce as its Defensive Coach for Season 2013. Bruce has 15 years of coaching experience including the past 4 years as an assistant coach at West Adelaide and completes the Club’s coaching panel that will assist Michael Godden in Season 2013.
