The AFL approved Port Adelaide's request to include Josh Carr in its final team on Friday afternoon, even though Carr had not been listed as an emergency. He replaced Jay Schulz.

So Schulz Has Been Dropped. Will The Eagles Play Him And If So Who Will They Drop?

Notice some reports say that Schulz was replaced due to back soreness but ? whether this was a weak excuse for allowing Carr to play in Williams last game and on a windy night, was considered a better option of a smaller forward line. The real reason is critical for the Eagles because Jay has played 3 games + bye = 4 and if this out counts, he qualifies for 5 for the Finals.
On that note, with only 7 rounds to go, we need Hentschel back very shortly for enough time for him to pick up another 4 games to qualify. Reckon we may have Burton for 5 before they give him a farewell last 2 games. Now that Banner has showed surprising ASFL form when he struggled in the Seconds, when you add:
Banner, Broadbent, Burton, Hentschel, Salter and Schulz to our team + a fit game hardened Biglands then we're looking handy. Of course, the AFL players have got to want to play and of that group, only Banner might be suspect. Secondly, they have to be fit and I would expect that Craig would want Hentschel to play this year to prove "his durability" before deciding whether to list him fo 2011 and Burton of course is retiring from AFL (in other years, Craig would not release them due to their fragility).
So some interesting times ahead.
