I think someone on the board was wrong. As banners were only used to be done for 100 or more club games.

I did say it was only game no.149. And it was easier (and cheaper) to do one banner one week instead of two in two weeks.

Well done to the Cheer Squad for making the effort to do a Banner at all. The SANFL have started to take into account State games as total games played as is evidenced by whichever Gowans was given Life Membership of the League this year.

A quick clarification.
It was the clubs request that the cheer squad do a banner for Macka's 150th for the Sturt game.
The club included Macka's state game (where he represented the Eagles) in the total they reached.
You can argue the interpretation of this if you wish.
As an example to receive SANFL Life Membership and be part of the 200 club, state games are included.
However you see it, even if you think there was an error the cheer squad is certainly not to blame and any comments, jokes etc suggesting this are both incorrect and unfair.
